Before her sudden resignation announcement, soon-to-be-former White House communications director Hope Hicks was berated by President Trump for admitting to Congress she told “white lies” for him, CNN reported on Wednesday.
The president got angry at Hicks after learning she made the revelation Tuesday to the House Intelligence Committee, which is investigating Russia’s meddling into the 2016 election, a Trump ally told CNN.
A livid Trump demanded to know “how she could be that stupid” to admit she lies for the president, the report said.

REALLY stupid for her to admit that. No doubt it was asked — and leaked — by Adam Schiff. She could have refused to answer or scolded the questioner.

He may have been ‘upset’ over the publicity she stirred up earlier BUT she definitely committed a mortal sin by IMPLYING she may have lied.
Kind of like being a ‘little bit pregnant’.
She will also get accused of racism as she used the term ‘White Lies’ (naturally) implying she didn’t ‘Black Lie’.
She probably would have been better off saying she used ‘creative prose’ or ‘changed a word or meaning’ BUT NEVER implicate the ‘boss’ asking you to lie...

I did wonder why Hope chose to use that phrase, knowing how the media would pounce onto the word ‘lies’.
Maybe she had just had enough drama and wanted out, at least for now. Kelly was still angry at her for giving him an incomplete, but biased report about that guy who was fired for beating his ex-wives.
When does she speak to the media? I haven’t heard her.
What’s the report anyhow? She embellished some reports?
Translation into English = "We just made this crap up and lied to you." just another day doing our job!
