Walmart Inc said on Wednesday that it was raising the minimum age at which customers could buy firearms and ammunition to 21 years.
The U.S. retailer is also removing items from its website resembling assault-style rifles, including non-lethal airsoft guns and toys, it said in a statement.

There are 6-8 W-Ms within 10 miles of me and none of them even sell firearms. But I am in CA.
I guess laws and the Constitution don’t matter. Oh well, they haven’t mattered for many years now.
Too late is it?
TO that you should add that the age for the military should also be raised to 21 and so should the voting age in all states.
How about the military? Can they handle that?
I think the military draft age was 21 during WWI. Roosevelt dropped to to 18 after Pearl Harbor, and the draft age -- or draft registration age has been 18 since. Instead of raising the draft age to 21, Vietnam lead to lowering the voting age to 18 with the 26th Amendment in 1971.
I'm in favor of raising everything up to age 21, including driver's licenses, and requiring parental consent for military enlistment, marriage and abortions. We Baby Boomers were bad enough. But Generation Z seems to be the worst, yet. If they want to be children and live in mom's basement until they are 30, treat them like children.
Not as long as they have the cheapest ammo.
Again, this is illegal. You cannot refuse to sell to someone who has a legal right to a gun because of their age. That’s against their civil rights and any DA who cares about it should be going after these stores.
You can’t refuse service to people because you don’t like their age.
Ummm — no; no it isn’t “just like refusing to bake a cake for a gay wedding.”
There is a very clearly enumerated Constitutional Right in this case, access to which is being illegally denied to some persons by Walmart on the basis of criteria contrary to State and or Federal law, under authority not delegated to them by either Congress nor by the Legislature of any State.
There is no similar Constitutional language protecting the right of a business to refuse service to any specific potential customer.
Walmart is on VERY thin ice, and the heat is on.
Young people are not ready to handle certain things.
Tell southern boys that have been shooting since they were in grade school that.
Kids in their early teens fought in the CW.
The age is not the problem; its liberalism. No intact home, mom not home after school, dad not around to teach discipline, schools not teaching anything but diversity and entitlement, God absent from these kids lives. Those are the problem.
Responsible parents will buy their kids the weapons.
Another victory for Prince Hoggfrey BanAllTheon.
I just raised my minimum age to 97 to shop at Walmart.
Not much different. They were only selling to gun dealers for years during obama
Ridiculous. If I could ban you I would.
Walmart’s statement is at least a lot less over the top than Dick’s, with whom I just contacted to cancel my account.
The left is really good at using corporate bullying tactics to intimidate companies from doing business with us. They will continue to do this until we start making companies that do business with them pay too. I hate that it’s come down to this, but we cannot let this go unanswered. Maybe it’s Breitbart or Drudge that needs to push this, but it needs to be done.
This list is a few years old, but here are the companies that donate to Planned Aushwitzhood:

I would add in then also too young to serve your country.
Mentally for the snowflakes of today, probably a good idea to do that.
“...will they raise the limit to only people over 70 owning guns.”
That sounds about right. But I would think that at the age of 71 you would need to ban them again - early dementia can start setting in about then.

However, Walmart isn’t denying anyone their right to keep and bear arms. They are just being the Leftist Virtue Signaling version of the “Christian cake baker”. Now the question is, will someone file the lawsuit?
Banning airsoft guns? What a joke.
