Purchase age for smoking (in most states) and the drinking age is 21. Young adults these days are a lot more immature than in the past. I am not too upset about that being the limit to buy guns. The line has to be drawn somewhere.
Yes, I was a young marine who couldn’t purchase a drink in California, so aware of the old enough to die for your country argument. I also did a lot of crazy stuff at that age.

How come we are depending on kids for wisdom on gun ownership laws while demanding that the age for purchasing a gun needs to be raised to 21 because they are not mature enough to be responsible gun owners. They are old enough to go to war. Won’t they be exposed to evil assault rifles in the military?
