Florida authorities say an inmate who killed his cellmate last month while awaiting trial for killing another cellmate in 2015 is now in solitary confinement.
The Panama City News Herald reports 21-year-old Frederick Patterson III said he killed his 82-year-old cellmate Arthur Williams on Jan. 15, and told correctional officers that theres one less child molester on the streets.
Patterson, a convicted burglar, was sentenced Thursday to life in prison for killing 45-year-old Scott Collinsworth, a convicted robber, in the Apalachee Correctional Institution.

The Mississippi is rather dubious when it comes to Pittsburgh... or they just ran out of ideas...
Give him a raise and move him to the next cell. No?
I fly with a captain that calls KDKA up on the deck; he likes listening to it.
Neighbor up the road is a radio ham and pilot and we chat a lot about SW listening and stuff; pretty good with the history of radio.
Well, if he’s not a child molester he may be fine.
Maybe by the time the pedophile ring among the rich and powerful finally gets its comeuppance he’ll be out of solitary?
From posts I’ve gotten the “K” and “W” were later editions.
Saving the taxpayers a lot of money.
“Do you think a convicted burglar should be in charge of our justice system?”
I Dunno. One could make the argument that in a “just” system, child molesters are NOT sentenced to prison.
How much later is later?
"By 1912, the need to quickly identify stations operated by multiple companies in multiple nations required an international standard; an ITU prefix would be used to identify a country, and the rest of the call sign an individual station in that country."
WACO in Waco, Tex.
Shouldn’t that be “allegedly” killed?
Once upon a time this sort of thing used to be called a “public service homicide.” But as others have pointed out, it really is not in the interest of society to allow inmates to enforce justice. And bluntly, I think this guy enjoys killing people a little too much. While not the biggest fan of capital punishment, I’d say this guy looks like a good candidate for the long drop with a short rope.
All his cellmates should be uninformed child molesters and rapists.
When I used to do a bit of cross country driving 40 some years ago, I could get KDKA thousands of miles away from Pittsburgh late at night and early in the morning when the atmosphere was right. The best, though, was dialing in XRTA from Tijuana off the coast of Hainan Island and listening to the Wolfman.
I wonder how Anthony Weiner is enjoying prison life?
KDKA in Pittsburgh got grandfathered in before the W-east and K-west rule, as did many others. WDAY in Fargo, D.T. is a mirror opposite example for the same reason.
This guy killed a child molester who would not shut up about what he did to an 11 yea- old girl, so he killed him.
At 2:20 on the tape the detective questioning him starts laughing.

I’m a retired correctional officer. One of the inmates who worked in the kitchen smuggled out the lid from a tin can...sharp! He passed it to some other fellows who used it to cut off the danglies of a child molester. I always thought that was the appropriate solution.
This is a perfect example of why abolishing the death penalty in favor of life without parole won’t work. LWOP is a license to kill, without further consequences. In this case, the recipient may have earned it, but the sentence also endangers prison employees.
No, but the our justice system had already failed. You won't find it at the link, but per the daily mail;
Williams tried to lure a nine-year-old boy into his car and had been ruled incompetent 10 days earlier.
He was being held in the Jackson County Correctional Facility awaiting transfer to a mental facility.
So, instead of living in a comfy "mental facility", he is dead.
I have always thought insanity pleas were BS. You can be insane AND guilty. Insanity does NOT absolve guilt.
