Rep. David N. Cicilline (D-RI) and numerous Democrat colleagues in the House are pushing an assault weapons ban that would prohibit high capacity magazines and 205 different firearms. The Providence Journal reports that Cicillines bill, HR 5087, would prohibit the sale, transfer, production, and importation of semi-automatic rifles and pistols that have a magazine or can accept a magazine that can hold more than 10 bullets, and any ammunition-feeding device that can hold more than 10 bullets.
Cicillines bill describes an semiautomatic assault weapon as a firearm with a detachable magazine and a pistol grip, forward grip, folding stock, rocket launcher, or threaded barrel. The list includes pistols made by CZ, Daniel Defense, America Spirit, Heckler and Koch, Centurion, and DPMS, among others. It includes rifles made by Kel-Tec, Springfield Armory, Heckler and Koch, Barrett, Beretta, Stag Arms, Remington, Rock River, Mossberg, Diamond Back, Daniel Defense, Colt, Bushmaster, Armalite, and Norinco, among others.
Cicillines bill bans all AK types even though the Florida gunman used an AR-15.

Liberals say it is impossible to round up 25 million illegals but necessary to round up 350 million firearms. Let that sink in....
Republicans should add an amendment to the end:
This law shall apply to ALL Persons, without exception.
How is it any different than the 1994 AWB?
I say, let them try. I can’t think of a better way to restore our Constitutional Republic.
Let’s amend it to ban Democrats.
News flash...
YOU'RE NOT IN CHARGE. NOW, STFU!
Anybody remember Stephen Willeford?
The former National Rifle Association instructor who grabbed his rifle and ran barefoot across the street to open fire on the gunman who killed 26 people at a smalltown Texas church was hailed as a hero Monday, along with the pickup truck driver who helped chase the killer down
Though he did not identify Willeford by name, the Texas Department of
Public Safety regional director, Freeman Martin, said at a news conference that the armed resident who confronted Kelley was toting an AR assault rifle and engaged the shooter.
And he called him a Good Samaritan.
That would be a more common sense approach to the problem, wouldn’t it?
The 1994 AWB had a list of 'features' of an Assault Weapon, and a rifle could not have more than two of the features. As a result, AR15s no longer had flash hiders, bayonet lugs, or folding stocks, but retained pistol grips and detachable magazines, and ARs remained for sale.
This AWB ban would ban a rifle with ANY of the features, including detachable magazines and pistol grips.
Ping.
No sunset after ten years?
The futile yapping of pathetic little toy dogs.
Liberals say, “If confiscating all guns saves just one life, it’s worth it”. Well then, if deporting all illegals saves just one life, wouldn’t that be worth it?
They say they want gun control.
Their own bill pushing for complete gun confiscation shows it to be a lie.
16 (v)(1) It shall be unlawful for a person to import,17 sell, manufacture, transfer, or possess, in or affecting18 interstate or foreign commerce, a semiautomatic assault19 weapon.20
(2) Paragraph (1) shall not apply to the possession,21 sale, or transfer of any semiautomatic assault weapon otherwise lawfully possessed under Federal law on the date of enactment of the Assault Weapons Ban of 2018
How would they know when it was “possessed?”
Registration, of course.
TOTAL GUN BAN, CONFISCATION COMES NEXT.
Has about as much chance of passing as Johnnie Kasick winning the 2020 presidential election running as an “independent.”
I recall during the 2000 election, the UAW sent a letter to it’s members in Ohio, Michigan, and elsewhere like that that told people “Al Gore will not take your gun away but George W Bush will take your union away”. Seems like the Dems do not want even that sort of cover nowadays.
...old argument, same tactic....
ask for everything, accept whatever you get even tho you deserve nothing....
