Alleged school shooter’s mom paid $50K to adopt him from ‘drug addict’

Mom Lynda Cruz paid $50,000 to adopt alleged school shooter Nikolas Cruz from his “drug addict” biological mother when he was just 3 days old, and then dropped another $15,000 on his younger half-brother, Zachary, when she found out the troubled mom was pregnant again, according to a report. “Nik’s biological mother was just a complete screw-up, drug addict and thief,” former friend and neighbor Trish Duvaney told RadarOnline. “I even said to Lynda: ‘You don’t know the mother’s background.’ Both children were born after one-night stands. The birth mother, she didn’t even really know who the two biological fathers were.”

Lynda was about 50 at the time, and she and husband Roger Cruz were struggling to adopt a child because of her relatively advanced age, Duvaney said.

“So she went to a lawyer and did it to where you pay the biological mother’s expenses,” she said. “You’re not directly giving money to the birth mother.”

Lynda ponied up $50,000 to get Nik, now 19, directly from the hospital when he was 3 days old — and another $15,000 to later adopt Zachary, now 18, Radar reported.

Jeez, ya think allowing people who are closer to retirement that childbearing age adopt kids might have been a factor? I know a couple who were denied adoption by the authorities because the couple were older and have health issues.

Like Cruz's adoptive parents they had money and "bought" a German kid. The woman died of her diabetes and the man lost interest in the kid. If it wasn't for the boy's adoptive aunt, he would have ended up in a mental ward or prison.

Hmmmm, sounds familiar....

****Is it because the meds didn’t work as designed or they DID work as designed?****

Your question has the answer that if these people need drugs to not kill people, they need to be locked up!

He looks a bit like the Zika born children, but he does seem to have a bit more area for his brain.

But my question was, how is that "Big Pharmana's or Big Meds' fault.

Sounds more a "Big Law" problem to me.

Not all traveling salesmen are like the reputation. I was a “dummer” (outside salesman) for 14+ years, traveled for a living in other capacities for another 14+ years. Spent the last 5-1/2 in an office running a catalog department in 1 of 2 wholesale distribution companies I worked for.

Next month will mark 47 year of marriage with my wife.

There were times I was gone from home for 30 days at a stretch.

But I worked with some great people.

I don’t hear many traveling salesman jokes any more, there aren’t as many traveling salesmen.

How would having been put in foster care made the shooter less likely to have killed people? Women on drugs give birth to babies every day. They either keep them and collect welfare, or turn them over to the foster care system.

Fetal Alcohol Syndrome can cause a plethora of dysfunctions: uncontrollable emotions, inability to handle stress, uncontrollable anger, inability to concentrate, non-employability, and more. One of my ex-wife’s sons by a previous marriage had it, initially undiagnosed except by me. He had all of the aforementioned symptoms, plus the widely spaced eyes often characteristic of such persons. He never held a long-term job and eventually, in his 20s, gave up even trying to work. He went on Social Security disability and survived on a subsistence level until. many years after I had divorced his mother, he died at age 27 of a drug overdose when his low-life “friends” laid him out on a lawn instead of calling 911. However, he never became a killer.

Cruz committed a horrific act, but he could have NEVER had a normal life. His brain was fried even before he was born. His birth mother is at fault, and maybe the attorney who arranged the adoption. Then we get to the sheriff, school, social services, etc. A lot of people, agencies, departments let him, and us, down.

According to many conspiracy theorists “BIG PHarma” pays “Big Law” to look the other way through lobbyists.

My point still stands that if these people need drugs to not kill people, they need to be locked up!

On average, how many foster families could have provided Cruz with the weapons and ammo he used?

It's like people who are on the unconstitutional "no fly" list. (soon to be the "no gun" list)

If they are so dangerous they cannot be trusted to be on a plane, why are they walking around free.

Evidently buses don't explode.... or maybe senators and the upper class don't ride buses.

That story doesn’t really pass the sniff test with me... a crawling four month old? And crawling around a swimming pool? That sounds misremembered to me!

By the way, this is the epitome of casting you pearls before swine. We subsidize the worst consequences of mans decisions because we buy into a narrative that it is “unjust”, “unfair” “mean” etc.

Just follow Christ and the morality set from the beginning, by law punish those who don’t. And don’t in any way encourage those who are immoral.

This whole thing is really sad. The kid was taken over by the devil. Nothing excuses the act by this kid but only God can comfort all who are affected by this.

No, you have to pay for adoption expenses at any age.
