Attorney General Jeff Sessions said Tuesday that the Justice Department will investigate potential abuses of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA).
"Yes, it will be investigated," Sessions told reporters at the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court, which oversees FISA warrants, according to the Washington Examiner.
He said looking into any abuses is the "appropriate thing" to do.

will be...
Someone told him there were allegations of marijuana use in the FISA warrant application.
Hell, there probably was....................
I think even the Justice Department believe hes incompetent, so to keep his job, he needed to make something start to happen on his own volition. Otherwise lets face it, people in Congress and the White House want him gone. They all know Rubenstein is running Justice. Sessions crushed himself and obviously cant do the job.
It will be? just starting now? Whats wrong with him!?
In trudging through the FISA document that came to light on Tuesday, it was discovered that the National Security Agency had been illegally conducting searches on people in the US. The document has gone on to state that those illegal searches, which were conducted under Barack Hussein Obama Soetoro Sobarkah, mounted to a whopping 85% of the total searches involving US person indentifiers.
Section 702 data on US persons identifiers may be conducted if they are first approved in accordance with [internal] NSA procedures, which must require a statement of facts establishing that the use of any such identifier as a selection term is reasonably likely to return foreign intelligence information. The problem is that querying US persons without a warrant amounts to a clear violation of the Fourth Amendment, no matter what internal NSA procedures are followed.
The Fourth Amendment is crystal clear: The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized. On page 81, the FISA report pointed out that In May and June 2016, NSA reported to oversight personnel in the ODNI and DOJ that, since approximately 2012, use of [redacted] to query communications in [redacted] had resulted in inadvertent violations of the above-described querying rules of Section 702 information.
The NSA claims that the violations resulted from analysts not recognizing the need to avoid querying datasets for which querying requirements were not satisfied or not understanding how to formulate [redacted] queries to exclude such datasets.

Investigated by whom? Rosenweasel? Who? Can anyone at the top be trusted? There should be SC for this. The FBI has had plenty of time to cover their asses at this point.
The corrupt DOJ investigating their own corruption? What next, asking the corrupt FBI to help?
This is just building cover for the fallout that will come. Look for a special prosecutor to be appointed down the road. Say in a couple of months.
"Are you, sir, investigating the fact that the FBI used the dossier to get a wiretap against Trump associates and they did not tell the FISA court that the Democrats and Hillary Clinton paid for the dossier?" Maria Bartiromo, the host of Fox's Sunday Morning Futures, asked Sessions."Let me tell you, every FISA warrant based on facts submitted to that court have to be accurate," he replied.
"That will be investigated and looked at, and we are not going to participate as a Department of Justice in providing anything less than a proper disclosure to the court before they issue a FISA warrant. Other than that, I'm not going to talk about the details of it, but I tell you, we're not going to let that happen."

Recording is 45:34 in duration.
Remarks about FISA are at 38:00, in response to a question.
Press questioning of AG Sessions starts at this point.
DOJ Regulations anticipate and allow a SC to be appointed without notification to Congress. Not saying that is what is happening, just that it is allowed. The hammer could come down rather suddenly, from a public perception point.
Like watching Mr Rogers investigate the Sopranos.
Jeff Sessions Affirms Inspector General Review of FISA Court Abuse by Dept. of Justice
Can one finally sleep at night “knowing” that the DOJ will be investigated?
“Greg Jarrett: “The people I’ve talked to at the Department don’t paint a very bright picture of his competence”......”
Did Jarrett find any republicans at the DOJ for comment? /rhet
It’s no wonder why we have RR and mueller in charge of the DOJ...Unbelievable.
Why can’t he do the right thing and step down? If Hillary is not prosecuted, then things are really bad. I think the people of the USA can deal with it. It’s those idiots in power that will freak out.
Glad to hear it!
