I’m used to being vilified by the far left as a bloodthirsty neocon warmonger for the Original Sin of having supported the invasion of Iraq along with 72 percent of the American public. It has been a little more surprising to be simultaneously vilified by the far right as a dangerous left-winger. David Horowitz’s FrontPage magazine accused me of going “full leftist” for acknowledging that racism and sexism remain pervasive problems. Breitbart called me, with ironic quotation marks, the “Washington Post’s ostensibly new ‘conservative’ columnist,” because, among other sins, I support gun control and immigration. American Greatness wrote that I am a “soulless, craven opportunist” whose “brain is broken,” because I compared President Trump’s indifference to the 2016 Russian election assault to a president ignoring 9/11. For the same offense, Jack Posobiec — an Internet troll notorious for pushing the theory that Hillary Clinton was running a child-sex ring out of a Washington pizza parlor — said I was “sick” and a “Russian propagandist.” In the Orwellian language of the far right, someone who wants to combat Russian aggression is a “Russian propagandist,” whereas someone who echoes Russian propaganda is putting “America first.”

My problem with Max Boot, Rubin, and others being labeled conservative is that people this is what conservativism should be. Screw the fake conservatives, the neocons.

He is a globalist, and our founders fought a war for independence against that sort of thing. I don’t see this man as a classical liberal because those were the guys dumping the tea in Boston Harbor, which I can’t see him doing. I could see him running to the Brits to rat out the founders for dumping the tea, however.

Conservatives are nationalists that believe in protecting the borders, and the language and culture of our founders.
They believe in the Rule of Law above the passions of the day. And Law and Order in the streets.
They believe in Private Property.
They believe in strident enforcement of the Bill of Rights.
They believe in small government and low taxes.
They believe we have plenty to fix at home before we go looking to fix things elsewhere.
They believe war is a last resort, but when it is necessary, total and complete destruction of the enemy is the objective.
They believe in taking care of those who cannot take care of themselves, but would leave the indolent, drunk and lazy to their own devices.
I don’t believe Zionism is related to Conservatism, or America...though they are not hostile belief systems.
