Whenever the gun control debate heats up and Second Amendment supporters maintain they won’t support any sort of gun ban, some on the left condescendingly insist “Nobody is talking about taking your guns.”
But that reassurance rings hollow when other voices on the left let slip that, yes indeed, they do want to ban guns, nearly all of them to be specific, as was revealed by the wild cheering of the crowd at CNN’s anti-gun rally of hate when Sen. Marco Rubio cautioned that an “assault weapons” ban would include virtually all semi-automatic firearms.
According to Truth Revolt, the end goal of a repealed Second Amendment and ban on virtually all guns in common use was also recently revealed by New York Times “conservative” columnist Bret Stephens, as well as CNN analyst Kirsten Powers.
Powers was in a debate with conservative commentator Mary Katherine Ham on CNN anchor Jake Tapper’s “The Lead” when she called for guns of all sorts to be “banned everywhere” and suggested that no one needs an AR-15-style semi-automatic rifles and only need to protect their homes with a shotgun — presumably of the pump-action variety, as she admitted that all semi-automatic firearms should be banned.

Of course that is their goal. We here have known it for years.
The question is: Are they willing to go out and literally die for that cause?
Because that’s exactly what’s gonna happen to a whole bunch of em IF they push this.

Gun confiscation is the ultimate aim of the gun banner. When they can take away our freedom, they will and they’re dead serious.

As someone who comes from Massholechewscheiss, I can tell you about the time that “The Boston Globe (our local pro-Communist paper)” was pushing a gun confiscation bill and they told the Mass. equivalent of the NRA that they would not let the pro 2nd amendment view be heard. Well, the gun grabbing bill failed and the Left, along with the “Boston Globe,” switched tactics and are pulling the salami slicing tactic of gun control. While they won’t say their goal is gun confiscation, that is clearly what they are aiming for.
In I believe that traitorous POLs should spend the rest of their lives in GITMO.

He doesn’t believe people should be able to own guns, and I believe that no one who hasn’t held a private sector job for at least ten years should be eligible to run for or hold public office at the state or federal level.
Total removal of the Second Amendment would be far uglier than any of America’s enemies on the left imagine. Real Americans would win, but the process would make our first Civil War look mild.

The liberals plan to gradually make gun ownership so difficult and expensive that many will give them up. They won’t try outlawing and confiscation because that would result in a shooting war that they could not win.
First, they will outlaw certain types of guns. Any firearm that can accept a detachable magazine will become an “assault weapon”. Your scoped .30-06 deer rifle will become a “sniper rifle”. Your 12 gauge pump shotgun will become a “street sweeper”. They will outlaw “armor piercing” ammunition which will be defined as any bullet that can penetrate soft body armor.
Then they will institute high capacity magazine bans and prohibitions against transferring them, safe storage requirements, mandatory liability insurance, registration, restrictions on where and how you can carry and use a gun, violation of any one of them will be a felony that takes away your RKBA. They will require expensive and lengthy “safety training”.
Then there will be high taxes on ammunition and firearms, background checks before you can buy ammunition or reloading components, universal background checks on firearms, elimination of instant background checks, mandatory waiting periods where the government can delay approval indefinitely.
They will have secret “no buy” lists that any politician or LEO or bureaucrat can add to and no one is allowed to see. There will be with no due process once your name is on it. There will be a ban on the manufacture of new firearms, except to the government, of course, and a total ban on the transfer of existing firearms, even to relatives in a will.
And don’t forget about “smart guns” which will be ridiculously expensive, unreliable, and easily overridden and defeated to make it possible for the police to disable them remotely. All new firearms will be required to have them and eventually they will require ALL firearms to be retrofitted with them. Which is impossible of course, but anyone caught with a dumb gun will be charged with a felony and jailed.
All of this will be done a step at a time with the promise of safety. Their safety. As the sit behind desks in buildings with bulletproof glass and ride around in armored limousines living in the best houses and eating the finest food your money can buy.
During all this, your children and grandchildren will be flooded with propaganda that tells them that no one needs guns and that they should rat out family members and friends with “illegal” guns and how “good citizens” turn in grandpop’s guns when he dies.
By that time, the citizens will be brainwashed into believing that it’s for their own good as the warden slams the doors shut.

This would require 291 votes in the House, 67 votes in the Senate, and 38 State Legislatures.
Stop talking about it. It’s not going to happen.
