« Pocahontas speaks with a forked tongue | Jewish minority white-skinned privileged male named Harvard's president; racist diversifiers object » Share Share | Twitter | Facebook | 188 Comments | Print | Email February 23, 2018 New Lost in Space has a black Judy Robinson, a Hispanic Major West, and a female Dr. Smith By Ed Straker Netflix is remaking the campy 1960s series Lost in Space. As might be expected, the network is doing everything it can to ethnically cleanse white people and men from the cast, but it's a hard proposition, given that in the original series, the story focused on Professor John Robinson, a white man; his white wife, Maureen Robinson; Major Don West, a white man; Will Robinson, a white boy; and Dr. Zachary Smith, a white man.
The show-runners started by replacing Dr. Smith with a woman, Parker Posey. Yes, Dr. Smith is now a girl (in much the same way that Britain's Dr. Who is now Nurse Who).
Then Major West was replaced with a Hispanic character, played by Ignacio Serricchio. Okay, Major West is Spanish now. Maybe he should be called "Major Oeste."
But the most confusing part is that Judy West is now being played by black actress Taylor Russell.

Honkey cultural appropriation!
Who plays the robot?
I think they won't care if they lose money on it so long as it furthers their agenda.
"Oh, spin my nipple nuts and send me to Alaska!"
The real question should be why are they remaking “Lost in Space” to begin with?
“I’m fine, thank you, Susan.”
Surely all the SJW’s, millenials and minorities are going to go see it! Why, that’ll make it profitable and one of the most successful openings in history!
So the woman is going to be portrayed as a scheming coward? If so then it's perhaps the first time a woman will achieve equality with a man on modern television.
Usually a woman is portrayed as a wise savant or a 90lb ninja who dispatches 6'7" bad guys with a single punch.
A sniveling coward woman - should be interesting.
Oh, who am I kidding, the new Dr. Smith will be a brave and wise latina with kung fu skills. Only white men - especially white men - have vices and foibles.
Really? No joke about the 3-man capsule crashing and 20 astronauts found dead in the wreckage?
In high school Literature class, we listened to a recording of Hamlet, with Jonathan Harris in the title role. I can still recall the To be, or not to be... soliloquy delivered in the same whiny-simpering Dr. Smith voice.
judy WHO?
I watched all ten episodes the other day...i liked it.
hoping for a season 2
She’s no coward she is a manipulative strong sociopath.
I'd be surprised if that was anything more than a joke. Not a bad one, at that:
TV Show Doctor Who Changes Name to Nurse Who After Realizing There Are No Woman Doctors
________
The original Lost in Space wasn't that good, so if this version is horrible, it's just carrying on in the established tradition.
Plus, this may actually be one remake that is less gay than the original.
