The Democratic rebuttal memo to the Republican House Intelligence Committee memo on alleged government surveillance abuses was released Saturday afternoon.
House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes, R-Calif., acknowledged its release at his appearance at the Conservative Political Action Conference, at about 4 p.m.
"It's just posted," he told American Conservative Union chairman Matt Schlapp, quipping that the committee website was probably already crashing due to high traffic.
Democrats say their memo was written as a rebuttal to provide greater context to a Republican memo that was released earlier this month, which outlines abuses by the FBI and the Justice Department against the Trump campaign.
Although the Republican-led House Intelligence Committee voted to make the Democrats memo public earlier this month, President Trump refused to declassify it, citing "significant concerns for the national security and law enforcement interests."

Thanks D. I have begun to archive offline. bought some thumb drives. I have already started to notice stories disappearing from zerohedge.com
The surveillence requested was not to track Page, it was the most extreme, to track anyone he had contact with. Sadly, most Americans cannot make the connection that such a broad warrant was aimed at trump, not Page. Time for sedition and treason trials to be done in military courts, for the following: Comey, Mueller, H Clinton, Brennan, etc
Did they now? All the corroboration in the world does not change a lie to the truth. But it does speak to the power of propaganda.
ah, but the intent was there.
Steele’s statement that he leaked the dossier because he was upset with Comey announcing an investigation into Clinton’s email habits seems to discredit anything Steele may have created. Steele has, in effect, admitted to attempting to interfere with an election as a foreign agent.
Steele’s credibility impugned, could mean that every case the FBI used Steele-provided intel on, must be reviewed again. No wonder they’re trying so hard to protect him.
Kerry I do believe wears a piece...many in Congress does...
During my working years I worked with a male hair dresser, who's dad was a barber, and he made hair pieces...my friend told me his dad had many clients in Congress..He never would say WHO, and I tried many times to trick him, but he was a smart business hairdresser who kept very quiet...
That’s a keeper, thanks.
The ball has always been in Sessions’ court. He has let this farce go on absurdum infinitum.
So far I’ve only read the first 2 pages, but several things occur to me:
1. Release on a Saturday!? That’s even worse than releasing on a Friday for it to get lost in the shuffle and ignored. Interesting tactical move.
2. Guess: Trump team must be ready to start the takedown if he let this out now. I’m betting that Trump controlled the timing at any rate and it will be to his/our advantage.
3. Guess 2: This will be used as rope to hang its authors.
thanks. If you will note: There is some text redacted where the corresponding reference # is not redacted.
Of those reference numbers, the corresponding source material was not redacted.
#7 on page 3; #12 page 4; #16 page 5; #27 page 6; #28 page 6; #31 page 7.
If the source material is available - pages 9-10, then we should be able to see what’s been redacted.
I’m not sure where or if I can start searchin for this stuff.
A grand jury? Tough call.
Washington DC: 90% Black/Democrat

Agree. Sessions was not the right person for the job.
Career politician at the tail end of his career decides to lead an agency, only he doesn’t.
No easily observable blackmail.
Right.
I used to believe in this man. I am ashamed.
Yes, even if Sessions was up to the job, the options to prosecute using DC juries are not positive.
I don’t know about military tribunals. They’ve been mentioned. It would take balls of steel to evoke them. Trump has them, will he use them?
Well, then there was James Traficant, who had woodland creatures living on his head.
Rosenweasel should be forced into a recusal. Maybe as we work our way down the ladder, we might come up with some people with clean hands.
Right. But the story of the Schiff memo is that the Russia investigative team wasn't made aware until September.
