Wednesday's CNN town hall to promote gun control and gun grabbing was off the rails from the start. So-called moderator Jake Tapper sat back as the wild crowd targeted Republican Senator Marco Rubio (Fla.) with boos and jeers for basically just being there. The wildest moment allowed by Tapper was when Parkland, Florida student Cameron Kasky smeared the Senator by equating him to the shooter that killed 17 of his classmates. And Tapper thanked him for all of it.
I'm sorry, I know I'm not supposed to do this, but I'm not going to listen to that. Senator Rubio, it's hard to look at you and not look down the barrel on an AR-15 and not look at Nikolas Cruz, but the point is: You're here and there are some people who are not, Kasky spat.
After Rubio answered his question, Kasky began to browbeat him for the money the NRA donated to his campaign, basically insinuating he was being bribed. And this is about people who are for making a difference to save us and people who are against it and prefer money. So Senator Rubio, can you tell me right now that you will not accept a single donation from the NRA in the future, he demanded as the crowd went crazy.
And I do support any law that would keep guns out of the hands of a deranged killer, and that's why I support the things I have stood for and fought for-- Rubio responded before Kasky interrupted him:
KASKY: No more NRA money? More NRA money?
RUBIO: That -- that is the wrong way to look -- first of all, the answer is, people buy into my agenda --
KASKY: You can say "No."
As the ridiculousness and the crowd noise grew to outrageous proportions, that was when Tapper finally stepped in. Cameron is having a conversation with Senator Rubio. Let's let them talk, he requested. Basically, Tapper wouldnt stop the radical leftist smears against Rubio but he would quiet the crowd to hear more of them.
So right now in the name of 17 people, you cannot ask the NRA to keep their money out of your campaign, Kasky picked up. Between the crowd noise and Kaskys persistent attacks, Rubio wasnt able to respond. Matter of fact, I bet we can get people in here to give you exactly as much money as the NRA would have, the student interrupted and asked the crowd. Can you stand up if you'd donate to that real quick? Okay, not a lot, but we'll get it. I'll do it. We've raised quite a bit of money so far.
Tapper continued to sit back as Kasky continued his mudslinging:
KASKY: I'll ask again. Are you accepting money from the NRA in the future?
RUBIO: I will always accept the help of anyone who agrees with my agenda. But my agenda is also
KASKY: Your agenda is protecting us, right?
( )
KASKY: So I knew that was going to happen. NRA, please just keep the money out of Rubio. If he wants to run again, you can
At the end of the segment, Tapper praised Kasky: Thank you, Cameron. Appreciate it.
This is CNN. No objectivity. Just a naked ratings grab and gun ban push.
It was stupid beyond belief for Senator Rubio to go on CNN!
It was a set-up right FRom the get-go!
Any conservative who goes on these LIEberal TV/radio shows is just not thinking clearly.
Why would any republican attend such an event? STUPID
Especially a Town Hall event with kids who are there to destroy you. It is a lose lose situation for any Republican to attend that event. It was a pure set up. Why does our side keep falling for these shitshows?
Rubio is an idiot.
I don’t care what the SJW brats, CNN, or Little Marco have to say about anything. Chris Christie exposed Rubio for the clueless hack he is.
What was Rubio trying to accomplish?
No doubt donations to the NRA as skyrocketing again now.
So, would KASKY submit to protective custody and being put in a place where bad people couldn't reach him - or does he just want to put everyone else in shackles while he wanders free?
KASKY: Your agenda is protecting us, right?
NO, you snot nosed little punk, if your parents raised you properly, at 17 you would know how to protect yourself and you would be MOVING out of your Momma’s House and try to grow up and become a Man.
AMEN! I cannot understand for the life of me why any Conservative would appear on CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS or NBC. They are nothing more than a target waiting to be shot on those networks.
Getting his mug on TV..................
Rubio was trying to show up Trump.
I will start this with a caveat: I don’t know if these are genuine. That being said, this Cameron kid has some tweets attributed to his “pre-CNN” pseudo celebrity status that are pretty damning.
His current twitter id is cameron_kasasky (or whatever his last name is)....But he apparently had an account (now seemingly DELETED) under his name without the UNDERSCORE.
I have seen screen grabs of some of his tweets from last year that, if real, show him to be a young man who promotes violent action.
The one that sticks most in my mind was his joy that Rand Paul had been attacked.
I think I saw it on @alexanderbruz feed.
He looked and sounded pathetic.
He agreed with some new gun control measures and still got booed most of the show.
I have my disagreements with Chris Christie, but there is no way in HELL if Christie was there last night he would allow this boy to chow him down with the left-wing talking points.
Rubio is a good family man, good senator, but not a good attack dog when ready.
A Christie or a Giuliani or a Lee Atwater would have taken this boy to school. I was thinking about this town hall all night last night.
Was Gov. Rick Scott right not to attend?
Yet no one has asked any of these outspoken kids if they witnessed or reported any odd behavior out of the shooter. I’m especially curious if the son of the retired FBI agent mentioned anything to his dad?
It’s a good thing that Senator Rubio is a RINO, instead of being an actual conservative, so no actual conservative did show up for this “Town Meeting”.
I strongly believe that this Cameron boy will be the face of the Left.
He could win. Smooth talking. Almost convinced me with his smooth talking mastery.
I wonder what they teach at that school?
Oh my, what fun to discover stuff like this. Kinda like Detective Foley in that warehouse finding out about Victor Maitland and his nefarious dealings, eh?
