Olympics TV coverage bows to the gay agenda
American Thinker ^ | February 21, 2018 | Lloyd Marcus

Watching the Olympics was a big deal when I was a kid, a pleasurable family affair. I tuned in to the 2018 Olympics expecting to enjoy extraordinary performances. Instead, the announcer began introducing the next performer as a hero for the LGBT community. I immediately turned the channel.

Folks, I am so sick of leftists corrupting everything, usurping every opportunity to promote the left's anti-God and anti-America agendas. When will We the People just say no?

A U.S. Olympic team homosexual skater, in essence, gave Vice President Pence his middle finger, refusing to meet Pence. Leftists hate Pence for blocking attacks on religious liberty, stopping Christian businesses from being forced to service same-sex couples' attempts at weddings against their faith.

1. As with ESPN, NBC refused to focus on the sports and instead had to make a human interest pageant out of the Olympics and because they are a bunch of demented Leftists, the storyline became all about gayness.
2. A lot of the sports are a joke, activities that were invented only recently and which no athlete has spent years maniacally, singlemindedly working on. Contrast downhill ski racing (a real sport for sure) with, IDK, skeleton or group snowboard racing. Yeah, a few people engage in these fringe sports but nobody actually thinks they are real sports in the same sense as the basic time-tested ones.
3. Half the audience is straight male. How many straight males have the slightest interest in watching men figure skate?
4. It is one thing to be nice to everyone etc. It is another to expect Christian families to spend two weeks watching Johnny Weir and Rippon.

That fawning over Johnny Weir(d), or whatever that sodomite’s name is, has been totally disgusting. I turned off the Olympics the minute he put on his first show. Nice going, NBC, parading that raging homosexual in all his glory. Disgusting. How do you explain his awful behavior to little impressionable children?

No broadcast TV or Youtube observation. I have dinner with my wife at Applebee's. The Olympics has been on some of the screens in the restaurant. Still not watching. Eat and leave.

Oh yeah, there have been several shows featuring homo couples. Like MikeHolmes when he had a show about winning a house they all work on. They are trying SO HARD to normalize these mental defectives.

All we can do with regard to this homosexual issue is to stop watching. I have! When enough stop watching and the advertisers feel it, things will change. Look at what our not watching NFL football has done. It doesn’t affect every advertizer right now, but it will in the long run. Similarly, promoting these homosexuals will cause a drop in viewership and a loss in revenue to advertizers. When they have lost enough, things will change.

Rippon was without question the worst of the worst, clearly not up to the level he should have been to be there, and then just made it all about him all the time, and the media happily paraded him around as some poster child for something important....

He certainly is no Brian Boitano, and say what you will, there was nothing feminine about Brian's skating, despite his orientation. And Brian pretty much kept his mouth shut about it, even though, everybody knew.

The Olympics..has gone the way of the NFL...in my mind.

I don't watch...and I mildly care.

Besides the queer cr@p, the Olympics has become just a major tool for advertisers to buy athletes and all the attention. It really sickens me to watch it. Contrived stories and self-promotion are thick and endless.

The GerBiL stuff was inevitable.

Using the term “gay” when you mean homosexual is bowing to the Alphabet Soup Nazi (LBGTQ...) agenda.

The term was in the headline that I posted.

The article is very good.

That comment was meant for the author, not the poster. My Apologies.

Didn’t watch a minute of it. Nor did anyone else in my household.

MSM is in the business of making money. They get it from advertisers. Advertisers pay money according to the eyeballs the MSM can bring to the screen. Hence, the MSM make money attracting eyeballs to their show - that is their culture. Once we understand their culture, their actions should be no longer mystifying or surprising.

They’ve done that throughout history by being hyperbolic in their headlines and (so-called articles) - “if it bleeds it leads” is their religion. Having bought into their own PR, and the Commie brainwashing in J-school, they now think they can change the world, rather that just report the news.

Stop watching. Remove the eyeballs, ad rates go down, MSM makes less money. Sort of like the NFL over the past couple of years.

The modern MSM are no different than the yellow journalism if the late 1800s and early 1900s (look up “William Randolph Hearst”). They just have more efficient and far-reaching methods for dispensing their tripe.

And far more willingness present biased (or fake) articles to push their agenda, without realizing that they are riding the tiger.

Did we even pick our best athletes, or is this a bigger embarrassment than our basketball team losing to the Greeks in 2004?
