Spielberg, Capshaw and Katzenbergs also donate $500,000 to March for Our Lives rally organized by Florida students
A number of Hollywood heavyweights, including George Clooney and Oprah Winfrey, announced hefty donations Tuesday to help fund the March for Our Lives rally against gun violence that is being organized by students from Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fla., the site of last weeks massacre that left 17 students and staff members dead.
Clooney and his wife, human-rights attorney Amal Clooney, announced a $500,000 donation Tuesday morning to help offset the costs of the march in Washington.
Amal and I are so inspired by the courage and eloquence of these young men and women, George Clooney said in a statement. Our family will be there on March 24 to stand side by side with this incredible generation of young people from all over the country, and in the name of our children Ella and Alexander, were donating 500,000 dollars to help pay for this groundbreaking event. . . . Our childrens lives depend on it.

I will always remember that time I was in DC and we saw a bunch of buses pull up and offload their human cargo. Everyone had on red protest shirts - forget the cause just now, but was lefty - and fully half of them broke away (some running) and went on sightseeing tours. Saw some here and there through the day as we visited different museums and monuments.
LOL, they caught the free bus, free lunch, free T-shirt and got a stipend to have a lovely day roaming in DC.
This nonsense will keep the kids busy and out of trouble and it will soon be yesterday’s news.
Much ado about nothing. Who even remembers the Milllion Man March ?
.
.
$2.5 million donated to the “kids march”,should be quite a show;)
So kids and teachers can get expense-paid vacations to DC to attack our fundamental rights?
“Another thought...how much are they giving to the families with dead kids?”
As well as those who were wounded but need medical attention. (Think of the kid who was shot five times saving his friends.) There will be continuing medical expenses.
And, it MIGHT be that insurance will not cover injuries resulting from “terrorism”.
In any event, the costs will mount up.
So where are the celebs contributing?
Take heart you are not in the ballpark of idiotship.
Do the march in south Chicago!
National Day of Action Against Gun Violence in Schools - April 20, 2018
BS doesnt come cheap.
Astroturf.
I wonder if they are taking guns away from their body guards.
A million dollars to pay all the expendable people crumbs to march.
$2.5 million,according to the article.
So, I assume that when these brain-dead celebrities show up for these marches, they will not allow any armed security near them? Because guns are evil and such.
Blacks are 12 percent of the U.S. population, 40 percent of the abortions each year.
All these sanctmonious gun-grabbers “for the children” don’t really give a d@mn about children, especially about the millions of black babies murdered in the womb.
I personally won’t be watching, but I’m sure others will be watching to see if the body guards show up or not.
I know. This stuff is so disturbing. How can people be so stupid?
This march will be ripe for a false flag event.
The $500,000 will buy a lot of guns for school security.
Way to go Oprah Winfrey, Steven Spielberg, Jeffrey and Marilyn Katzenberg, George and Amal Clooney.
Who knew they wanted to make schools safe?
