In something dubbed "investigative" reporting, NBC would have us know that San Francisco's Tenderloin district is a pigpen, filled to the brim with junkie needles and human excrement.
The NBC Bay Area Investigative Unit surveyed 153 blocks of downtown San Francisco in search of trash, needles, and feces. The investigation revealed trash littered across every block. Survey also found 41 blocks dotted with needles and 96 blocks sullied with piles of feces.
File under non-news, unless you like minutia. You wonder how much time they invested on the story for being able to tell us that. As if it were something new.
Anyone who has lived for any time in San Francisco knows that's the place you stay out of. I lived there, on and off, for 14 years, having been a student there in the 1980s and 1990s and forced to take the city's public transportation, which goes right through that area, and this has always been the state of things. Do we see the problem spreading geographically, based on the NBC charts? Not really. The grossness is up, but it's pretty well confined to the same old places. Such hype.
The real story is that nothing has changed, tech boom or no tech boom. The area is still the same old "gross," even as city coffers fill and bureaucrats grow more numerous with the vast expanding left-wing government. NBC says the city spends $30 million to clean it all up, and, well, the first thought that comes to mind is how much of that goes to bureaucratic salaries and bennies, not the actual cleaning up of the streets so filthy they amount to a health hazard. Because though the people interviewed say they're doing cleanup, it's not exactly making a difference, and they seem to know it, too.

Son says you have to do the side step in Denver also to avoid it.
A S#!thole CITY....................Democrats own it..................
Mayors of San Francisco:
Dianne Feinstein
Willie Brown
Gavin Newsome
Ed Lee
Mark Ferrell (incumbent)
yet it was so hilarious during “occupy wall street”
I bet the city worked with NBC to produce this investigation. They will use it as a basis to increase taxes for massive spending to “clean up the city”. The money will just be used for more patronage political jobs, the deficit will increase and the problem will just continue to get worse. Welcome to progressive land.
San Fransisco: progressives competing to prove Chicago/Detroit/Cleveland aren’t the worst they can do.
Leftist and vile, loathsome hygiene ... a thing since the 60s, at least.
I regret visiting San Francisco last September. Tons of trash piles as people with shopping carts go dumpster diving. All along the Amtrak train railroad, shacks, tents and hoarders have made themselves permanent dwellers. I was offended a half dozen times by people that had all of their senses, and faculties, asking for money. NO more, San Francisco reminds me of those shi. hole countries that Trump referred to. Don;t have to go far to find a culture.... Anyone who is straight is definitely now wanted, you have to be a trannie, or a non binary person to move about in this town...take lots of money, you will need to hand it out to a LOT of people.
Hire the homeless to build septic tanks and concrete bathrooms (including toilets) that can’t be easily smashed in a fit of drunken rage. Put them on every corner. Problem solved!
Nice
The “gay” tourists consider this a much-hyped vaction destination.
Didn’t these used to be called “communes?”
A bunch of sh*t for a sh*thole city how fitting
Pinch and Pull. Sounds like my typical bathroom experience.
Indeed they did make it and like they like to say in California if it happens in California the nation will follow another reason to NEVER vote for a democrat.
They’ve come a long way from the Dirty Harry days. LOL
clap, clap, clap
