Turkish jets bombard Iranian militia entering Afrin
Mutual Assured Destruction.
The recent battle in the Deir Ezzor oil fields showed strong US support for the Kurds.
The Kurds will not get their own state however Syria was forced to negotiate with Kurds if they want the oil- which they do.
It also led Russia to negotiations, having shown it’s support for Turkey but in a failure.
So everyone is happy.
I expect Turkey to be satisfied to occupy some area north of Afrin city. For a while anyway.
Everyone just uses the Kurds, for their own ends, when ANYONE making a strong partnership with the Kurds - whether others object or not - would be getting the most long term strong (as in never give up) partner they could. Why? For the Kurds its existential - securing their unique existence as a people.
I see China’s Mideast plans as boding good for the Kurds.
China’s road has to pass through Kurdish territory and China will pay protection money to the Kurds instead of paying it to Turkey, Iran, Iraq- thanks to US building them up and their good behavior.
No doubt its better to have one’s own country though.
Bombbombbombbombbombiran.

17 years late, but those targets should have been taken right after 9/11.
Kerry needs cancer.
Just stick with the original, the King James, more reliable.
Zechariah 14:12 & 13, "And this shall be the plague wherewith the LORD will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth. And it shall come to pass in that day, that a great tumult from the LORD shall be among them; and they shall lay hold every one on the hand of his neighbour, and his hand shall rise up against the hand of his neighbour."
See, much better!
“after Easter” in the KJV? How is that a good translation? I’ll stick with the Greek and Hebrew.
Only one liberal in our many younger generation of family members.
However, we have a few, not sons and daughters but close, aka young people, who spent probably more time at our home than their parents. Who have come around decades later for advise or to thank us for what we said to them decades ago. Or just being polite to them while they were teens or a little later.
Easter Is Not A Mistranslation
Easter... or Passover? Acts 12:4
So yes, Easter was the correct word to use there, and I maintain that any version of the scriptures since the KJV is a bad translation and a Hort/Westcott blasphemy.
Yeah, official government translations are always the best.
Turkey's state-run Anadolu news agency later reported that Turkish troops had fired "warning shots" at "pro-regime terrorist groups trying to advance" towards Afrin, forcing them to retreat about 10km (6 miles).
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said the convoy was made up of Shia militiamen acting independently, adding that he had earlier persuaded the Syrian government's main allies, Russia and Iran, to stop any troops being deployed.
"Unfortunately, these kinds of terror organisations take wrong steps with the decisions they take. It is not possible for us to allow this. They will pay a heavy price," the Reuters news agency quoted him as telling an news conference.
Syria war: Pro-government forces enter Kurdish-held Afrin
Or at least radiation treatment.
Just ain't no convincing the masses of the errors of their ways...............
