Sen. Bob Casey Jr. (D-Pa.) on Sunday warned special counsel Robert Mueller against issuing a report on his findings in the ongoing investigation of Russian interference in the 2016 election near the upcoming 2018 midterm elections.
"I don't think we'll know anywhere near the full story until [Mueller] issues his report," Casey said. "But once you get into the summer, and you get close to the election, I think it's a mistake for him to release it late. I think you should wait until after [the election]" Casey said.

Wait... if supposed to hurt Trump, would that not help Dems at election time? Sounds like he knows the report will help the Republicans if he wants to hold it until after elections.

I’ve been thinking about that for months...because it is a ‘tool’ in their campaign strategy - to have these clowns issue October Surprises.
I can see two options:
1) Call and END DATE to this crap, maybe Labor Day, and that’s it. Tell them to work though the Justice Department after that.
2) Tell them that the investigation is SUSPENDED from Labor Day through Election Day. After Election Day, they can get back to it.
In both cases, Trump simply states that the investigation will NOT be allowed to ‘interfere’ with the upcoming election, because that’s the whole point of doing this investigation, at least this week.
If Trump did either now, I doubt it would kill him politically - but it would drive the Left out of their minds.
The FBI is too busy investigating reports of threats of school shootings to be bothered by Russia. /s
