A Carnival cruise devolved into near-anarchy during its 10 days in the South Pacific, with some passengers locking themselves inside their cabins, others kicked off the ship and security guards brawling with vacationers in a bare-knuckles melee.
Carnival said it would investigate what happened after a video surfaced, showing the guards punching, kicking and threatening passengers during the worst of the fighting Friday. But the cruise line is already blaming “a large family group” for instigating the violence, which some passengers said escalated for days before security could contain it.

I recall many years ago when I was on a job down in which I needed to interview some hotel chain employees on a resort island in the Caribbean. I believe it was when LBJ was president. I arrived and checked into a cheaper businessman hotel (on per diem) and the next day going to the resort and found them terribly angry and upset. It seems a large group of tourists checked in several days before from Harlem and accosted their security and other guests, scared the guests with their animal behavior and stole everything not nailed down. I asked how could such people afford staying at a posh resort. The manager said he has had a few other such groups just not as bad as these. He was told the welfare department takes the position that since people with money get to go on nice vacations, poor people should have the same “right.” So the taxpayer provided them a ritzy vacation so they could have some dignity or whatever they called it.
I’ve worked on cruise ships since I was 17 years old. My first work was baggage boy from Vancouver To Alaska or the Northwest Run as it was called.
Norwegian was the liner and they had registered ships in Canada. I’ve seen fights before. The last time it was my last summer there and one guy found his wife cheating (as the first officer told us she was naked with the other guy) and the husband almost murdered the other dude. Anchorage Police were waiting for him at port.
A Cruise Ship= a Floating 6,000 person ghetto. Why anyone would want to go out away from dry land in one of these monstrosities is beyond me.
Check my previous post. Worked as baggage and steward boy since I was 17. I went to TWO Norwegian Cruises with the GF a year ago and she liked it. She was a little seasick at first because shes not used to it but she came around eventually.

I do see a neckbeard and hat on the fat perp. Victims stated they wanted to attack Australians. I hope this wasn’t a dress rehearsal for something worse.

Put them all in a rowboat, towed behind the cruise ship for the duration. Water, bread, no sunscreen... and no toilet paper.

My daughter and I went on a Caarnival Cruise three years ago and had a great time. No brawls, no drunks, great food and super staff. No complaints except it took forever to disembark.

It always does. Seen probably around 20 fights/commotions etc on 3 summers I worked for Norwegian. It’s kinda common LOL And it’s mostly the first class passengers instigating them...
Amish Cruise package goes awry.
I heard this from a Carnival employee two to three years ago. Obama is buddies with the CEO of Carnival and they had a program to fill ships with folks that were too poor to cruise on their own. More of your and my tax money to put the disadvantaged on ships and balance out the diversity at sea.
