Attorney General Jeff Sessions ordered Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein to conduct an immediate review of both the Justice Department and FBI Friday.
Sessions referenced the new revelations into the FBIs mishandling of tips on suspected Stoneman Douglass High School shooter Nikolas Cruz, which he called tragic. (RELATED: FBI Admits It Mishandled Tip On Florida Shooter)
It is now clear that the warning signs were there and tips to the FBI were missed, Sessions wrote in a statement. We see the tragic consequences of those failures.
The FBI in conjunction with our state and local partners must act flawlessly to prevent all attacks. This is imperative, and we must do better, he continued.
Sessions demanded the review would help both bodies reach the highest level of prompt and effective response to indications of potential violence that comet to us.

Om g...??
What’s the problem, Jeff? No department is perfect....
Isn’t the FBI the investigative arm of the Department of Justice, of which Sessions is in charge?
Ok. Then fire Rosenliar and get another Deputy AG.
It was because they were too busy trying to frame Trump while being paid off by Hillary.
“... Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein to conduct an immediate review of both the Justice Department and FBI ...”
Do you suppose AG Sessions realizes that all right thinking Americans have lost complete confidence in Rosenstein??
I happen to be in complete agreement with that XFBI agent. Recent Presidents keep placing xDOJ lawyers in control and hiring other outsiders into the several appointed positions and they have no Idea how the FBI has worked so successfully in the past. I did a senior research paper years ago on the Hoover FBI and have been a supporter ever since.
Sessions sees a chance to dump on the FBI big time without getting near the Russion collusion stuff and he jumpping on it. It also takes pressure off the whole gun thing if you can keep the dialogue on FBI incompetence.
Why is everyone assuming FBI incompetence? The FBI is as political as any organization in the U.S. Perhaps they wanted this atrocity to happen, in order further an agenda?
The FBI needs to be dissolved and a new federal law enforcement agency created. The FBI’s role is too fragmented and now too politicized. Domestic enforcement of federal law might better be kept under the DOJ, but anti terrorism is better placed under the Dept. of Homeland Security. Sad that 17 innocent kids needlessly died because the FBI was too busy plotting sedition against a duely elected president and chasing its tail in a farsical Russia stole the election investigation.
I think McCabe spent years outside of DC working at the FBI.
On the flip side, he has to find something because their ineptness caused deaths and it is now a known fact out "in the wild"....
“If you think anyone internal to the Federal government is part of the solution, then you don’t even understand the problem. “...
I agree with your comment and suggest you go back and read my comments again.
The FBI reports to both the DOJ and DNI.
Oh, man... Rosenstein? He’s part of the problem. Sessions, you’re a traitorous idiot. Appoint someone who will not cover up the FBI’s mistakes.
“Who else would he turn it over to?”
Is it possible to appoint a special investigator for this kind of situation — someone who doesn’t have a reason to sabotage the the results?
All this photo array proves is that many Democrat men are into bestiality.
