Attorney General Jeff Sessions ordered Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein to “conduct an immediate review” of both the Justice Department and FBI Friday.
Sessions referenced the new revelations into the FBI’s mishandling of tips on suspected Stoneman Douglass High School shooter Nikolas Cruz, which he called “tragic.” (RELATED: FBI Admits It Mishandled Tip On Florida Shooter)
“It is now clear that the warning signs were there and tips to the FBI were missed,” Sessions wrote in a statement. “We see the tragic consequences of those failures.”
“The FBI in conjunction with our state and local partners must act flawlessly to prevent all attacks. This is imperative, and we must do better,” he continued.
Sessions demanded the review would help both bodies “reach the highest level of prompt and effective response to indications of potential violence that comet to us.”

Result? Just like the intense scrutiny Hillary endured for having an illegal server, freely dealing with classified documents as she damn well pleased, destroyed evidence while destroying government property, and lying through her teeth while playing the dumb blonde card, and determining she would NEVER be charged with any crime months before the end of a pseudo investigation that never even interviewed the perpetrator until somebody said we got to at least look like we questioned her.

FBI oversight is one of the specific responsibilities of the Deputy AG. Who else would he turn it over to?
So who/what “honest” government group is going to tackle this pending fiasco? There are way too many odumbo holdovers, putting the fox in the hen house will be an issue. I anticipate this “investigation” will take several years, cost millions (probably several) and turn into nothing. Even if they do come up with a few guilty parties, NOTHING will be done of any significance. IMO Sessions needs to go.

I get so sick to hearing the same horse crap come out of the mouth of these people time and time and time again. “We’ll get to the bottom of this and changes are right around the corner. Just let me keep my job.”

The next step is for state and local law enforcement authorities to announce: (1) they no longer consider the FBI a reliable, competent law enforcement agency; and (2) therefore, they will cease cooperating with the EBI in any law enforcement matters.
If you think anyone internal to the Federal government is part of the solution, then you don't even understand the problem.
Maybe if cleaning up the FBI was his top priority from the start - as it clearly should have been, knowing only what we knew at the time - then we wouldn’t have this situation now.

Nope... the lack of action is due to the progressive left wing agenda to remove guns from citizens... allowing a madman to shoot up a school would provide the narrative the media and democrats needed to advance gun control. Cruz was the right person at the right time... a patsy for the left. Whoever at the FBI dropped the ball purposely did so.
A friend of mine, X-FBI said the problem is having bureaucrats FROM THE OUTSIDE coming in at the top levels and making decisions. If the top echelons were made up of people who came up through the FBI, there wouldn’t be a problem. The people coming from the outside haven’t a clue about what is really going on ... and they ARE NOT SMARTER than the field agents. (Interesting take).
Someone knew exactly what was going on... and allowed it to happen.
Congress should provide funds for new uniforms for the FBI ... colorful clown outfits.
