Whoa, wait a minute there Mr. Strac.

So according to you, if I go on the Internet in Florida and threaten to shoot up a school and post it on a site origination out of Alabama, there is no federal crime?

??

I know good and well what they’re not doing. In many jurisdictions, anyone who starts watching and keeping a list of associates of a drug user won’t be in law enforcement for long.

It’s time for some changes.

Our Public Integrity Section needs to be checked out, expanded and allowed to get more busy with its job. In local departments, it’s time for fresh, clean, young, fit men from prior service combat specialties with thorough background checks and good moral character.

Our nation was founded on moral law—not ancient Greco-Roman culture. That’s what made America different from Europe. Our country has gone far enough toward being like a third world hole with the drugs and protection of local untouchables. It shouldn’t take ten years or more for a local favorite son to butt heads with a cleaner big shot in a neighboring jurisdiction and finally start getting arrested without charges being dropped because of threats from coworkers and and other officious crooks.

If they didn’t stand back and let him do it, how could the gun grabbers advance their cause???

Btw, that was one of the most convoluted responses I've ever seen to one of my comments.☺

FBI shill (Hosko?) on Fox (Business?) says complaints are taken in West Va and then funneled down to the area of interest. Place is CJIS, I think. Could be where they warehoused the Ark of the Covenant.

No, probably not, but I do not know case law on the issue of intent to profit by such actions.

Any defense lawyer is going to raise that issue of the law’s intent pre-trial. This was passed as part of anti-Kidnapping legislation, not in order to just chase the threats.

The other issue is, regarding state vs. local jurisdiction, the concept is always to let the locals handle it whenever possible. The reason is that they are expected to have better knowledge of the area, the perp, more local manpower concentrated in the area, etc.

In addition, under the color of possible deprivation of civil rights, virtually any crime, in fact, virtually any infraction that possibly involves a potentially harmed human, could be made into a federal issue. By speeding down a street is A depriving B to the right of Quiet Enjoyment of his home, and therefore denying B his civil rights? I know that is ridiculous overreaching, but I include it to show that virtually anything could be made federal.

That said, the feds cannot chase down every reported threat, and in this case, it would have been much more properly handled as a state matter, if the Fibbies had simply referred it to the Broward SO.

There are some other issues to consider when the FBI evaluates the use of over-tapped resources in cases such as this. The Miami FO is busy chasing terrorists, Cuban Intel types, high-level drug distributors and others, and they only have so much time.

Did FBI screw up big time in not calling Broward SO, heck ya, but they cannot be held responsible in this matter overall.

Ask a legal question, ya get a legal answer.... plus, I’m accustomed to being paid by the hour...... :)

Whatever they're paying you is too much.

I can cut through your convoluted responses for you.

If ya get on your computer and make violent threatening posts on the Internet, posts which were specifically directed to an out of state site, you've just broken Federal law Mr. Strac, regardless of what you think.

I’m sorry, but since you do not understand my response, nor the law, nor the reality of the situation, you will get no further responses from me..

Others are cautioned, however, from relying on you for any legal advice.

No, it's you who don't understand the law, even though you're here attempting to convince all you're some kind of legal scholar with your convoluted gibberish.

Only a no nothing individual would say making violent threats across state lines using the Internet was not a federal crime or illegal....lol

You ought to get yourself a job at the dial and argument call center. No offense, but ya seem much more suited for that.

There are 350 million people in this country.

We cannot rely on the FBI or police to look after all of us.

Here’s a thought...

When these people are identified, get a group of govt people to confront them and offer them a deal.

Tell them they are on the radar as someone who will have little success in life except in special circumstances.

Join a special op unit where they can go kill people we NEED killed, or be prepared to face a life in jail.

They must go through training and be successful.

Maybe feeling important and going through rigorous basic training will straighten them out. OR we send them place where we want people killed.

Maybe I’m watching too much TV.
