BC's Jimmy Kimmel is once again using his show as a political platform, encouraging his audience to vote out of office Republicans donate money to EveryTown.org, a gun control group seeking to "end gun violence in America."
The host aimed his most pointed criticism at President Trump, saying, "You're obviously mentally ill."
"Youve literally done nothing," on guns, Kimmel complained. "Actually, youve done worse than nothing. You like to say this is a mental health issue. One of your very first acts as president, Mr. Trump, was to roll back the regulations that were designed to keep firearms out of the hands of mentally ill. You did that. Your party voted to repeal the mandates on coverage for mental health. So I agree, this is a mental illness issue, because if you dont think we need to do something about it, youre obviously mentally ill."
Kimmel also blasted Republicans more generally, calling them "allegedly Christian."
"Tell these congressmen and lobbyists who infest that swamp you said you were going to drain, force these allegedly Christian men and women who stuff their pockets with money from the NRA year after year after year to do something," Kimmel said. "Now, not later. Now. And dont you dare let anyone say its too soon to be talking about it, because you said it after Vegas, you said it after Sandy Hook, you say that after every one of these eight now fatal school shootings we had in this country this year. Children are being murdered."
Kimmel said he's not going to allow grieving politicians to focus on prayer.
"Eight out of 10 Americans agree that a teenager shouldnt have an AR-15," he said. "So why does a teenager legally have an AR-15? Somewhere along the line, these guys forgot they work for us, not the NRA. Us. And this time were not going to allow you to bow your head in prayer for two weeks."
Watch Kimmel's monologue above.
“Kimmel also blasted Republicans more generally, calling them “allegedly Christian.”
i betcha kimmel advocates abortion on demand...
I wonder if Kimmel TRASHED OBAMA after Sandy Hook.
That's what I thought.
Teenagers have AR-15’s? The Murderer was over 18, a Grown Man who can Vote for Communists like Kimmel and his Ilk.
BTW Jimmy, I had a .22 Rifle and a .410 Shotgun when I was eight years old.
You need to look in the mirror jimmy boy, you are nuts
Someone needs to ask Jimmy how draconian gun laws are working out in Mexico and Venezuela.
The crazy guy who is always crying is concerned about someone elses mental stability?
The left should be careful what it wishes for.
The absolute worst thing about Jimmy Kimmel is how many people apparently enjoy him. Its more depressing than a crazy school shooter.
I’ve wondered that too.
One of their talking points is that Republicans have blood on their hands, for not advancing gun control legislation after Sandy Hook.
Well, Obama and Democrats were in full control in 2009 and 2010. If this is such a big issue to them, why didn’t they do anything at that time????
Nobody ever asks the liberals that question.
If you look closely you can see Schmucky Schumer’s lips moving when Kimmel speaks.
He’s crying in public about political BS on TV and accusing someone else of being mentally ill. Look in the mirror, brother!
This guy used to host a show called The Man Show too.
Jimmy Kimmel is a giant douche.
his partner was the man, however.
If Kimmel had any talent he would not have to resort to tactics like this.
A man weeping in public?
Sounds like he’s the one who is unbalanced.
Obama and the Dems had a chance to do whatever they are now demanding Trump to do.
What an idiot. I wonder if someone has ever asked him why in the days of ones like Robert Stack, Charlton Heston, Gary Cooper, John Wayne, Clark Gable, and many others in Hollywood being very well known for their participation and enjoyment in hunting and shooting related sports, kids were not marching into high schools to commit these horrible and senseless acts like this latest nutjob did.
Any guy who publicly cries as much as Kimmel does should probably not talk a lot about mental illness.
