It is with Great sadness that our Football Family has learned about the death of Aaron Feis. He was our Assistant Football Coach and security guard. He selflessly shielded students from the shooter when he was shot. He died a hero and he will forever be in our hearts and memories

Why did he allow himself to be captured? Makes me even madder the creep was afraid to die. The creepy coward takes other lives but was afraid to lose his own life.
Yep - the MAN is now getting his just rewards with the Father.
As my dad who ran security for a large company once said, “If you see me running away- try to keep up!”.
Or “Fish in a Barrel”.
> What is the point of a school POLICE officer being unarmed!!!!!????? <
That was a decision made by our very liberal school board. Of course, they meet in a locked central administration building. That building is not accessible to the general public.
And here’s another rule they made. In case of trouble, the school police - and not the city police - must be called. That’s so the board can squash any police report.
A colleague of mine was attacked by a knife-wielding student. My colleague called the (armed) city police. He almost got fired for not following the rules. The only thing that saved his job was that he was actually cut, and not just threatened.
Prayers up for this man’s soul and for his family.
I'm an unarmed security guard. You'll get armed guards in places where there's lots of cash, or they have a lot of expensive merchandise. For some reason, the guys at the door at Guitar Center are Guitar Center employees, not outside security guards. Conversely, Microcenter had an armed guard by the door, and they're outside security.
I think the vast majority of security guards are unarmed. The guys in armored trucks are always armed, probably because each pickup is at least six figures.
Absolutely insane law. What that law says is criminals will obey it which is absolute lunacy. “Oh, I was going to shoot up this school, but since guns are legally prohibited I guess I can’t.” That law does absolutely nothing but get people killed, it does the exact opposite of what they are saying.
So mall cops are better security force than Broward public schools
I’m usually disgusted by the way “hero” is applied in so many circumstances that don’t deserve it. But, finally, a real hero, and he deserves more than the usually simple applause. Isn’t he the kind of person who should be given the President’s medal for civilians?
How sad.
They left him hanging out to dry. May God grant his family peace.
But it is a terrible thing that was done to this man and his family making him face danger without proper protection. They don’t need more bouncers at school; they need people with guns that know how to use them when necessary to protect the students & staff.
Indeed. May God bless his soul and his family eternally.
Presidential Medal of Freedom.
Sad. RIP.
