It is with Great sadness that our Football Family has learned about the death of Aaron Feis. He was our Assistant Football Coach and security guard. He selflessly shielded students from the shooter when he was shot. He died a hero and he will forever be in our hearts and memories

Laura Ingraham had a student on this morning who said there were about 5 security people there. I am assuming that none of them were armed.
You don't want him armed - that would imply that guns in school can be good. Far better to ban all guns from schools, even guns in the hands of security guards. Then kids will be safe . . . as long as crazy Antifa followers follow that one law. The narrative matters more to America's enemies on the Left than the lives of these students matter.

His was a very heroic act. I have not been following this story closely. Did the school give him the tools to be an effective “security guard,” or was a walkie-talkie his only weapon?

Sad but true. My school district has security guards in every building. They are all unarmed. We also have a school police force. The school police rove between buildings, and have the power to arrest. They are all unarmed as well.
They said he had a carry permit but was legally prohibited from carrying at the school.
There was a time in America when the football coach would take a role in the definitive disciplining of a person like Cruz who was making threats and was a real problem. Many a problem were handled and there were no mass killings.
What’s worse, this guy held a CCW, but couldn’t carry on campus of course.

I hope Trump buys a million sets of body armor and ships it out to schools at the very least, or let the Gov pay for it.

Common sense is the real and true victim of our foaming at the mouth “politics first” political elites. The death of common sense leaves a trail of criminals and their victims in its wake.
