Bill Priestap, the assistant director of the FBI Counterintelligence Division, is reportedly cooperating with Devin Nunes, the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, providing key information about the abuse in the Bureau.
Priestap was Peter Strzok’s immediate supervisor.
His approval was needed to authorize Strzok to speak with Christopher Steele about the phony dossier or to make any payments to the former British spy.
Priestap’s name has been absent from the media coverage of the FBI scandal, but Utah Republican Congressman Chris Stewart — a member of the House Intelligence Committee — suggested on the Jeanine Pirro show on Fox News that his role will be more public in the future:
“You’re going to be hearing a lot more on Bill Priestap.”

Was looking today at some old stuff on FR and ran across a post the said remember the name Preistap, you will be seeing again. The post was from abut 6 months ago.

Either Priestap is talking or he’s preparing to be Comey’s fall guy, and watch everything he has to lose - his nice career, family and $3.8 million dollar house go down the drain.

He’s a hero like Sammy the Bull was a hero.
At the time he was in deep, but probably still retained the plausabile deniability of a legit counter intelligence scheme gone bad.
After the Andrew McCabe, “first we f*ck Flynn, then we f*uck Trump” , a line into conspiracy was crossed and I doubt that a guy as sharp as Priestap would be stupid enough to cross it with McCabe.
I seriously doubt the guy waited until Comey’s testimony, especially since ,many of the questions asked seemed to reflect insider knowledge.
IMHO BP did more than just informing, he has been acting as an under cover part of insider sting investigation against the anti Trump cabal for quite some time.
It seems like the leaks are coming regularly at a rapid rate. Someobody is behind it.

When I see a headline ending in a question mark I assume everything that follows is BS.
he may have figured out he was headed for the guillotine himself if he didn’t become the first person on the 7th floor to turn into a cooperating witness in order to get a lighter sentence.
Somebody is going to have to think of that sooner rather than later and with his position in the hierarchy, the honest DOJ prosecutors probably don’t need anyone else.
BS. He is singing (if he is) because he was a player who wants to avoid the consequences.
It’s the way of the world. Once one breaks for the door, panic ensues when others realize what they have to deal is quickly losing its value. The net is apparently going to get quite a bit fuller with lots of song birds.
I’ve been wondering if Priestap isn’t actually flipping, but has been working undercover for months to weed out the traitors.
