Senator Elizabeth Warren made a surprise appearance at the National Congress of American Indians Wednesday morning, forcefully responding to President Trumps derisively calling her "Pocahontas" and addressing her claims of Native American heritage more directly - and far more expansively - than she ever has before.
[Snip]
She did not apologize for her claims that her mothers family had Cherokee blood instead, reaffirming: "My mother's family was part Native American. And my daddy's parents were bitterly opposed to their relationship. So, in 1932, when Mother was 19 and Daddy had just turned 20, they eloped."
"The story they lived will always be a part of me," she planned to say, according to a copy of her prepared remarks. "And no one - not even the president of the United States - will ever take that part of me away."

A DNA test would answer the question.
Thought it was running beaver. Anyway, was she in full regalia again?
It would have been even more impressive had she appeared in full war paint.
Have you noticed that no one ever comes from Comanche or Mescalero Apache roots? There’s a reason for that.
Want to be Great White Mother in Washing Done.
Forked tongue bite ass.
Brilliant.
Revive the whole Indian thing.
Keep talking.
That made me laugh so hard that I got frybread and firewater all over heap big monitor!
Yes it would, and btw would be required by the Cherokee.
She’s “cherodkee” as long as it got her special admission status.
obamaumao just had a boat load of money dumped on hahhhvard— cause that is all it takes, for undergrad and/or Law or Medicine. all kinds of hucksters.
So, she’s admitting it’s just a “story” and still refusing the DNA test. DEAD GIVEAWAY! She’s trying to pivot and say it was always a “my truth” story and that actual genetics do not matter.
She has to put it to rest before announcing for 2020. Ao getting it otu now, will give time to die down and allow her to say, “we addressed that years ago...”
When Angry Squaw Warren ran the first time, she very quietly relinquished her law license in New Jersey mid-campaign. That automatically sealed the file from public inquiry.
I wonder what was in there that she didn’t want revealed. Cultural appropriation for advantage, I’m guessing!
You can bet she’s already had the DNA test done (under another name) and already knows the results do not support her claims...which is why the only option she has is to continue the “Cherokee” charade.
I used to wok with a guy from the Boston area, who was card-carrying member of some local tribe up there.
He was whiter than me...................
LOL, great post! (One could almost squint the eyes and see “Cherokee Flavor:!)
The United States actor Iron Eyes Cody, who was of Sicilian descent, developed a niche in Hollywood by playing roles of Native Americans. He had claimed American Indian heritage in order to get work.
Ward Churchill, the fake Cherokee-Muscogee professor in Colorado always haranguing on bad white man and western civilization.
Is she doubling or tripling down on stupid? I’ve lost count.
A DNA test would only reveal she’s an idiot.
She won't shut up long enough to get a saliva swab
Gray Beaver forked tongued daughter of heap big chief Runamucca!
