For law enforcement, Congress and even journalists, exposing misdeeds is like peeling an onion. Each layer you remove gets you closer to the truth.
So it is with the scandalous behavior of the FBI during its probe into whether President Trump’s campaign conspired with Russia in 2016. One layer at a time, we’re learning how flawed and dirty that probe was.
A top layer involves the texts between FBI lawyer Lisa Page and her married lover, Peter Strzok, the lead agent on the Hillary Clinton e-mail probe. They casually mention an “insurance policy” in the event Trump won the election and a plan for Strzok to go easy on Clinton because she probably would be their next boss.

Hillary pulled out all the stops, legal and illegal to get elected. No wonder she is so bummed and refuses to go away, in her mind it was a done deal.
If Sessions is the problem he’s got to go. The Republic is in grave danger.

Tbe scheme might have been Hillary’s but the execution was left to Obama. He controlled those “resources”.

Sessions is either compromised, corrupt or inept. It is also possible that has been a plant all along. Regardless of which one(s) it is, he’s got to go.
He is not fulfilling his duties or responsibilities. Trump simply has to replace him ASAP.
It is possible, even likely, that DOJ may be waiting for the OIG first draft to be completed. Congress is a very inefficient investigative agency because they only subpoena the bigwigs and they extract very little information because each congressman has to be given their 5 minutes to grandstand and 1 minute to question (that is what it always looks like to me).
The OIG on the other hand interviews dozens or hundreds of people and they allow them to talk. In fact, they are compelled to talk somewhat like a grand jury. The OIG investigation will contain far more information from non-political appointees as well as email and text communications.
I think it will be quite interesting and given the layers we have already seen it has probably dragged out far longer than they (or we) expected. This may be nothing more than a smart tactical move - let the OIG investigation proceed because it is doing the job for them and does not require the FBI to investigate. There have been VERY few leaks from Horowitz’s team.
Worthless pups in both parties.
Crime after crime that are all obvious to the citizens in fly-over country, but no action by prosecutors or meaningful investigation by the police.

That is true. The OIG probably took a bottom up approach.
However....don’t lose sight of the fact that all OIG’s are INTERNAL investigative organizations that are not always inclined to criticize the heirarchy of their own agency. They will only go so far.
I expect Horowitz to produce some very interesting, if not highly critical, findings but doubt that there will be any earth shaking revellations about malfeasance and corruption at the higher levels. They don’t want to go there.
Most IG’s are content to show a few things that justify their effort and time on the case, and then call it a day. In some respects its a show to make it appear that the agency is able to monitor and self-correct itself. They rarely if ever produce anything that is of a sensational nature or which exposes deep rot within their agency.

Most of the clowns in congress have never run a business, met a payroll, provided a useful service, or produced anything of lasting value.
They are by and large a bunch of talkers and professional liars.
She didn't actually "pull it off," since the whole criminal mess is now being exposed. She *MAY* still get away with it, since it seems we all have very little reason to believe that we have equal justice under the law.

Not only should the DOJ and FBI be investigated and charged if any laws were broken, but they need to be investigate in regards to the end of Jan/first week of February 2018 efforts to claim the 4-page Nunes memo was classified.
If the 4-page Nunes memo was not in fact classified, and it wasn’t, whoever wrote/signed such documents needs to be prosecuted for lying to the government (President Trump, Members of Congress).
Their efforts to “fight back” against legitimate authority and oversight should have consequences in their own right.
I seriously doubt she pulled it off, I have no doubt she pulled it.
I would love to see an eventual outcry from the Left, especially her supporters, when they realize they've been duped. Trump was never the cause for putting this country through such grief; it was the criminal actions of Hillary, and all her complicit supporters in the media.
Think about it, all the grief, depression, and anger that was stirred in the past year. It's natural to be a little upset when your candidate loses, but her supporters are just as entwined in her Big Lie. Think of the energy they've wasted, the humiliation they've endured (with their pink hats), and the loss of their sanity. Clinton's actions were treasonous--will she be tried as such?
Even bigger than the discrepancy between the FBI and WH regarding the "timeline" in which the Trump administration dealt with his wife-abusing aide?
After all, that's the only thing deemed "newsworthy" for the last 48 hours.
All of this made possible by the dirtiest trick ever perpetrated on the USA, the Kenyanesian Usurpation.
