The Star Spangled Banner will no longer be played at rallies at California High School in San Ramon after student leaders determined the song is racially insensitive.
"It was brought to our attention that the national anthem’s third verse is outdated and racially offensive, wrote the president of the school's Associated Study Body. "We had nothing but good intentions by removing the song so that we could be fully inclusive to our student body."

The student body president posted a letter on the high school's website defending the decision to ban the song by citing a third verse that references "the hireling and slave."
There is widespread debate among historians as to what Francis Scott Key was alluding to in the lyrics. Regardless, only the first verse is traditionally sung at sporting events or public gatherings.
"This verse translated, finds joy in the killing of African-Americans," the student government president alleged. "To think that our nation’s anthem once had the word slave and 'land of the free' in the same sentence leaves me speechless."

“By any means necessary” means exactly what it says. If it means having to dynamite some old tree stumps in order to facilitate draining the swamp then so be it. Most of those ‘trees’ are half-dead anyway, so it’s justifiable. MAGA!

Don’t know where you got “by any means necessary”. That’s more like the ethos of a nazi or socialist. We are the good guys. So put away the dynamite, I’m thinking we say no when faced like this.
The students say ban the anthem, and someone of our ilk out there, working in the district, who has always said “yes” simply says “no”. Let the dung flinging monkeys screech.
Simply refuse to cooperate or back down.
With pep rallies, students are sometimes given input.
No family member of mine would ever attend such a hate filled school!
Using U.S. taxpayer dollars to subsidize this daycare center for these little commie bastards is also “racially insensitive” and it must stop.

San Ramon Demographics:
The racial makeup of the city was 76.82% White, 1.93% Black or African American, 0.36% Native American, 14.94% Asian, 0.21% Pacific Islander, 2.16% from other races, and 3.58% from two or more races. 7.24% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
They also decided that lunch should be 2 hours long and there should be a free taco bar.
Haven’t had breakfast yet so I didn’t puke on the sight of that clown.

The word slave is mentioned, but in this verse as in refuge from slavery.
To be consistent they should refuse tax dollars because some tax payers might be deemed racially insensitive
Tax dollars ... as I recall there are portraits of dead white racists on dollar bills so they all should be refused to be consistent.
The song mentions “slave”, it doesnt glorify it, or celebrate it. Everyone knows there was slavery. Are we supposed to burn every book that mentions it? Why not start with history books?
