In recent weeks, rescue workers, aid groups and the United States have accused Syria of repeatedly using chlorine gas, which it possesses legally for uses such as water purification, as a chemical weapon against civilians in Ghouta and Idlib.
France, a permanent member of the U.N. Security Council, has struggled to wield influence on Syria. Critics who accuse Macron of inaction say he has not given a clear definition of whether use of chlorine would for him constitute a chemical attack.
On Tuesday, the vice-president of the Syria Civil Defence, or “White Helmets”, volunteer force said France should stop talking and take real action.
France and the United Nations have repeatedly called in past months for a ceasefire and the opening of aid corridors to alleviate Syria’s humanitarian crisis. Russia, Assad’s most powerful ally, said last week a ceasefire was not realistic.

Funny how every time a western politician needs it, Assad provides a “gas attack” usually with sarin or chlorine. Always one or two “gas” shells, and the bad guys defeat the deady gas with a handkerchief and a bottle of water! The white helmets document everything carefully with video.
The whole NATO world threatens and is itching to attack if you use gas. So you use one or two rounds, into a random neighborhood.

Chlorine gas was first used in Flanders in 1914 against French and British troops. The eye witness accounts of the Brits on the deadly effects chlorine had on victims are horrifying. Before gas masks could be distributed to the front, Canadian troops came up with tying a bandana soaked in urine over the mouth and nose as a somewhat effective counter for chlorine only.
100 years later, France still has lingering problems in the areas where chemical weapons soaked the environment. Poison gas was used in almost every barrage sequence of both sides.
Further entanglement of France with Syria saw a 1918 League of Nations mandate assigning France “trustee” for The Lebanon and Syria.

The “White Helmets” organization in Syria that is begging Macron for military strikes has been exposed as a propaganda front group working alongside Al Nusra. One of their so called “field hospitals” was video taped showing an Al-Qaeda flag hanging inside. Claims of chemical weapons being used may be totaly staged to beguile western governments into intervening on their behalf.

It has been proven hundreds of times that the Syrian regime not only butchered (and is till butchering with the aid of Russia, Iran and Hizbollah) it citizens but used Chemical bombs repeatedly. So, now, the weak French, much like the weak Obama make threats? What a joke, a sad joke.
The first one was bad, the second was sickening. Indeed, it is a Great Swamp.
Though I am a bit anti-French at the moment. Just spent 3 hours on a plane, next to a french husband/wife, and they they were just a plain pain in the ass. Up to get something from the upper bin, both go to the head, had to strike up bs conversation with steward (which slowed down my drinks arrival).
Just prissy, entitled little gnomes. Though I did enjoy watching Sean win the Gold on my Surface Pro (on free tv via Southwest Airlines) in their faces.
