Womens snowboard halfpipe first runs
The Winter Olympics continued on Monday and the biggest thing to watch is the womens snowboarding halfpipe competition. American Chloe Kim, at 17 years old, is the one to watch, and in her very first run, she put down an incredibly dominant score of 93.75, well ahead of the rest of the field.
Her run included a signature inverted 540, she nailed a nice indy grap on her final rotation and finished her run with a 720. She was last to go in the first runs, and she easily took first place. Liu Jiayu of China was in first place with a score of 85.50, with American Kelly Clark in third at 76.25.
Happy girl.
That was a blast to watch. Shes a true talent. Clearly better than everyone else in the competition.
This is a must watch....seventeen years old...the last run was even better
She made it look so easy, too.
KELLY CLARK GOT RIPPED OFF. WTF were the judges thinking, ARRRRGGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!
I totally agree. Her last run was fantastic. I don’t know why it didn’t score higher.
Not to be a wet blanket but what’s with all these athletes wrapping themselves in the American flag as though it were a beach towel or poncho?
Seems pretty d@amn disrespectful IMHO.
People watching real time highlights on Twitter and NBC wonders why ratings are down.
Read a profile of her and she is truly the American dream come true (father emigrated from Korea...). But all this snowboarding jargon just illustrates to me why I don't watch the Winter Olympics.
I quit watching when the media glorified the starvation of millions in the North by equating the killer bitch with the PRESIDENT’S daughter ( whom we love).Screw the olympics. Dead to me.
She did a fantastic job.
A great victory for Team USA!
A lot of sacrifice from those parents!
