Ginsberg mentioning McCarthyism may be her trying to chide people in her party for the Russian hysteria nonsense going on right now.
Also she is saying that the left shouldn’t have tried to oppose Gorsuch’s confirmation.
She seems to be actually trying to tell her political side to not be so partisan.
