Howdy, LUV!
The rain had stopped by the time I woke up and we ended up with 3.3 inches. YAY! Still a lot of water in the ditches and standing in low spots. The lake level sure made a jump since Friday evening.
Your cold weather is moving in tonight. :-(
Sure am glad Ghost seems to be sticking around again. That sore foot might be keeping him from wanting to wander. He needs to open the abscess so it can drain. He’ll feel a lot better.
Oh, we have a pip at Berry! WOOHOO!

It IS confusing! I never know how many layers I’ll need when I leave the house! LOL! Take a coat and drag it all over the place because it got too hot. Leave it at home and freeze, because it LOOKED warm when I peeked out! LOL!

3.3 inches! That is wonderful! I’d like to have even a portion of that right now! Sooo lucky you are. This should help a lot come spring!
I’m glad he’s hanging out here again, too, especially with that foot. I’m glad I had a chance to put that new bedding down. It’ll be much warmer for him to snuggle up in.
I just ran the video back and saw the pip! I think they were worried that it was taking too long but these babies will come when they’re ready. It would be nice if the two were as close in age as the ones in the FL nests. Not as much bonking when they’re close. Eggciting!

Yep! Texas! LOL!
It never got out of the 40s here today. Will gradually go up and then plunge back to cold again next Friday. I guess we’d be bored if it ware the same all the time, huh. :)

Good evening, radu....a good day for staying in? All the puddles soaked in?
We are expecting snow any time now and overnight.

Good evening, Luv....she knew what she wanted and went after it!

She was fearless! It angers me that the Medal of Honor can be stripped from a person for stupid reasons...or no reason! I’m glad it was reinstated, though.

Trust Me
February 12, 2018
Do not worry about tomorrow.
Matthew 6:34
After graduation from college, I had a low-paying job. Money was tight, and sometimes I didnt even have enough for my next meal. I learned to trust God for my daily provision.
It reminded me of the prophet Elijahs experience. During his prophetic ministry, he learned to trust God to meet his daily needs. Shortly after Elijah pronounced Gods judgment of a drought in Israel, God sent him to a deserted place, Kerith Ravine, where He used the ravens to bring Elijah his daily meals and refresh him with water from the brook (1 Kings 17:14).
But a drought occurred. The brook shrank to a tiny stream, and slowly became a mere trickle. It was only when the brook had dried up that God said: Go at once to Zarephath . . . . I have directed a widow there to supply you with food (v. 9). Zarephath was in Phoenicia, whose inhabitants were enemies of the Israelites. Would anyone offer Elijah shelter? And would a poor widow have food to share?
Most of us would rather God provided in abundance long before our resources were depleted rather than just enough for each day. But our loving Father whispers, Trust Me. Just as He used ravens and a widow to provide for Elijah, nothing is impossible for Him. We can count on His love and power to meet our daily needs.
Faithful Father, thank You for knowing exactly what we need before we even ask. Help us to trust You for our daily needs.
God supplies all our needsone day at a time.

We’re thrilled with the rain we got. That makes 6 inches for the month and that’s more than we got in Dec. and Jan. combined. We’re on a well so this gives us a sense of relief for that reason as well as the threat of wildfires diminishing. It was awfully dry in this area.
Yeah, that new bedding is a plus and gives him more reason to stick close to home again. That and regular meals. LOL!
I was getting worried about it taking so long on those eggs too. The first egg was laid on the 3rd and the second one on the 6th. But the laying schedule is almost identical to last year and the hatching is about the same. The first hatched on the 11th last year and this one will be a day later so all’s well I reckon.

It was actually pretty warm today though it was cloudy and damp. 66 degrees when I woke up this afternoon but the front came through about an hour later. It was down to 52 when I went to visit Aunt Clara at 3:30. Now it’s 39.
We’ll have a couple of days in the 40s, then back into the 60s for a few days. The roller coaster is giving us whiplash. LOL
Water is still standing in many places but we didn’t get flooding like west and north TN did.
Just peeked at the radar and you aren’t kidding about snow any time now. Lookin’ pretty good. Maybe the streets won’t be as slippery in the morning as they looked a little while ago. :-)
