Very interesting news. I don't think this is "swamp draining," since she was a Trump appointee who was a law school professor at the Antonin Scalia Law School (George Mason University).

Who is next in line to serve in the Deputy AG role in an interim capacity if Rosenstein steps down?

I suspect she may be bailing out because the entire DOJ is riddled with conflicts of interest from Rosenstein on down.

i agree...everyone at Freep was overjoyed about her potentially taking the place of Rosenstein when there were rumors he would have to step down due to a conflict of interest...isn’t she a Ted Cruz bot or something?

I think you may be right. She saw what a mess the DOJ was and washed her hands of it.

>Who’s next in line...
I think they’re creating a void in the DOJ.
Rod Rosenweasel’s job has always had Jessica’s name on it.
The DC district AG.

Whether she was a Trump appointee or not, she has to be swamp, based the reason she gave for resigning.

Allowing herself to be quoted as saying the DOJ has been under attack from President Trump reveals a lot about where her loyalties are (and are not).

When a POTUS expresses disapproval of or takes disciplinary action toward specific elements within a department under his administration, it is not called “attacking”, it is called “presiding”.

Characterizing it as an attack on the agency is a lie, and it’s a lie only someone hostile to the President’s agenda would tell.

Gowdy?
