Another longtime FBI official quits today. According to Fox News Catherine Herridge reporting, FBI Asst. Director Michael Kortan (aka text message “Mike”), the head of the FBI Public Affairs Office, has announced he is retiring.
Mike Kortan was previously exposed by FBI Agent Peter Strozok as having specific information that the investigation into Hillary Clinton was manipulated by the “small group”. “Mike’s” job was to sell the ruse as a valid investigation.
WASHINGTON – The longtime head of public affairs at the FBI — who was a confidant of former director James Comey — is planning to retire, Fox News has learned.
A notice went out this week for a retirement get-together for Michael Kortan scheduled for Feb. 15. Since 2009, Kortan has served as assistant director for public affairs, an influential job that controlled media access. He also served under former director Robert Mueller, now leading the Russia probe.
The FBI confirmed to Fox News that Kortan is retiring.
It’s unclear whether the retirement was long-planned or in any way precipitated by recent events. The FBI emphasized he was finishing 33 years of service. (read more)

For a long time I was frustrated at the drip, drip, drip of info: emails, texts, memos.
I now think this is a carefully orchestrated release of info with several objectives:
1. Get conservatives elected in 2018
so that we can
2. Drain the Swamp
I think the timing of the info we are seeing is designed to build the case against the perps. If everything came out all at once, instead of this gradual process, too many of the sheeple would never believe it.
On top of which, this gradual process is creating situations in which the perps, not knowing exactly what evidence Trump has, further incriminate themselves. Schiff is working hard to hang himself with so many obvious lies. He is a desperate man.
Still..... I’m eager to see some perp walks. Resignations are nice, but not nearly enough. Most of these people are still drawing pensions funded by the taxpayers. They are sitting on piles and piles of money acquired by criminal or treasonous means.
Please, Mr. President, some arrests?

@ Bonemaker...So far, only Comey has been fired, and he hasn’t been charged with any of the felonies he has committed. Rosenstein still has a job, and has been mentioned in the memo. Mueller has a job, and is way off course in his investigation, Mccabe gets to retire with a $$$ amount that would support five middle class families. Wray has blocked most of the requests from JW (along with rip sessions) and has stone walled both the House IC and the senate IC. He has lost texts transcripts etc. What do they all have in common? How about letting the Clinton foundation do as they please criminally. Wray led the DOJ criminal division in 2003-5. Rosenstein was in the DOJ 2001-5. Muledog was dir FBI in 2001-12. And Comey gave the Clinton Foundation a pass when he was a US attorney in NY “prosecuting” them. Mccabe was in the mix too all together in the U1 scandal. Wray, may have not participated in U1. They all (except Comey) have their jobs/retirement, including the FBI lovers, Ohr and his “wife” too. James Baker, DWS, Podesta, Blumenthal, and a half dozen others....walking free, partying it up knowing there is Justice...Just us, not them.

Just think we would not have found out if it wasn’t these two stupidity. They thought Hillary was going to win and everything would go away quietly.

There has been decades of entrenched corruption in D.C. All this won’t be fixed in 12 months. Putting it into perspective, looking at the big picture, if not for Trump all those barking from the sidelines would be listening to Hillary Clinton speeches for 8 years, while the leftist finished off the country.

I agree! You have to wonder why they are leaving the "cover" of the FBI ... out on their own, they can really get stepped on hard! Or is there something "inside" bigger and badder coming after them?
