PYEONGCHANG, South Korea The only thing more extreme than the Olympic sports is the weather here.
The Winter Olympics are slated to begin on Friday as temperatures in the South Korean city plunge.
While the athletes are prepared for the bone-chilling temperatures, worries about spectators catching hypothermia or staying home have been raised.

There was a news report last night that norovirus is a problem. The report is that 1,000 security staffers have been replaced by military because of it. (easily researched). And what about the various global strains of the flu that will gather at the Olympics?

Frigid?
“The city has already seen lows of -9 degrees, but Friday’s forecast is expected to range from a high of 40 degrees Fahrenheit to a low of 30 degrees Fahrenheit, according to The Weather Channel. The first weekend is expected to see temperatures as low as 11 degrees Fahrenheit.
Meteorologists have likened the chill in South Korea to February weather in Des Moines, Iowa, or Albany, New York.”

Is there a chance the reporters’ mouths could freeze shut? That would be a shame.
The cold was a major misery during the Korean War.
And this two posts earlier.
A weather forecasting app shows that the next nine days will have highs from 18 to 35 and lows from 7to 26. Considering that the lows usually occur during the night, that sounds about perfect for WINTER Olympics. The leftist anti science climate change folks want problems.
They should put the Winter Olympics in a warmer place.
Irony?

-14 as a low, 15 as a high.

Cold at the Winter games...unexpected.
All weather is local.
Catching hypothermia? Experiencing sure, but hypothermia is not a virus...
Secondly, it's the Winter Olympics! It's supposed to be cold!
Those temps would be an improvement on a lotta the days we’ve had in northcentral PA lately.
