“Once again, what does CA have to do with these shootings?”

I think their implication is that these things would not happen transplants from California hadn’t changed the culture.

At least that’s my guess.

I do not think that many people in California realize how unwelcome they are in other parts of the country. It is envy, it’s disgust.

It’s not envy. It’s not quite disgust. Perhaps somewhere between disappointment and loathing. A scapegoat for the visible moral decline of the local region, even if it’s happing to the nation, just not as rapid. It’s not just Colorado though. Any area that had been experiencing good job prospects usually had been an island of conservative thought, and these places have, for lots of reasons attracted groups who are not always themselves conservative. Hence the decline of conservative turns and cities in former bastions of hope.
If only the state level had a version of the electoral college, the rural counties would still hold more sway than the huge voting blocks that come out of liberal urban areas. The genie’s out of the bottle.

What is going on in Colorado??? My nephew is an Alabama State Trooper. He is closing in on his 25 years and he will retire. He has been involved in four or five big shoot outs in his career. Once he and a local cop he was backing up drove up a dirt drive way to talk to some guy the local needed to bring in, small charge, nothing really bad, but just as they got out of their cars, the guy came out on the porch and opened fire at them with an AR15 and pinned them down for two or three hours behind their cars. My nephew was able to crawl up and get his own AR out of his car and was able to return fire so that they could get down the road out of the line of fire. It took SWAT hours to finally drive this guy out of his house with tear gas. My nephew, a couple of years later, received the Northern Alabama Law Enforcement Officer of the Year Award for disarming a woman who came into the restaurant at a local golf course and disarmed her before she could shoot her ex-husband. He stood in front of her as she was aiming the gun at him and was able to talk to her as he edged more and more towards her and finally got close enough to move on her and take her and the weapon down without her shooting anyone. He is a good man and brave to the core. We got to go to the awards ceremony for Law Enforcement Officers and he got the award and the Southern portion of the state person got the award, and another guy got an award for the entire state as he was involved in taking down a killer who was shooting the place up, wounded, the guy continued to move in and take the bad guy down. There are some really brave men and women out there protecting us and we should not forget these people and pray for them as they pootect us as we sleep each night, just like our military folks.

I was born in Denver. Had to leave to go to Med School during the Dean Sliver fiasco at CU. We used to say we would move home ASAP but in the decades since the visits I have made to see family have convinced me I don’t even want to go anymore. Pity. It used to be heaven. Now it is throughly Californicated. Such a shame.

It’s crap like this that makes me prone to backing cops who are involved in “bad” shootings....I couldn’t exercise the restraint we all expect of them if I was trying to do their job.

When I escaped Mexifornia, I’ve told everyone I meet here that I didn’t move from California, I escaped. I made it very clear that I’m a conservative and I want to get away from the liberals and the illegals. So far I have been welcomed with open arms. For the people that have no idea what I’m talking about, I tend to avoid them. I imagine they are either liberals or ignorant.

That’s why when we escaped Mexifornia , we chose an area that was economically stagnant. Any place that seemed to be doing well economically had a high percentage of illegals. And likely a high percentage of liberals from the north also. People here don’t care so much that we lived in California for a time, but I’m were glad that we are not Yankees.

I was not replying to your post but to another freeper who said something snarky about the incident being related to some police corruption.

I suppose you are aware of how 0bola and his DOJ attempted to neuter LE all over the US, villified them, pardoned hundreds of dangerous criminals, encouraged BLM hatred of and violence towards cops, and on and on.

Or are you not aware of this?

Anyone can read back. You and several others here have been attempting to convince all CA was the direct cause all these cops getting shot up in Colorado. Several have complained it's all California's fault. You and several others have spent the entire thread dumping on CA.

Never mind the fact the suspect/suspects were never even ID'd and there is absolutely zero evidence of CA being even remotely connected to these Colorado cop shootings.
