President Trump said Monday that Democratic lawmakers who did not applaud his State of the Union speech last week were "un-American" and "treasonous."
Trump, speaking in Ohio, recalled the silence from Democrats in Congress when he praised low unemployment among African-Americans and Hispanics.
"They would rather see Trump do badly, OK, than our country do well. That's what it means, it's very selfish," he said. "It got to a point where I really didn't even want to look too much during the speech over to that side, because honestly it was bad energy. No, it was bad energy.

Anyone who cares to get a clear understanding about what the anti-American Democrat Party is working to accomplish should take a look at the template they are using. It is clearly presented in the book by Douglas Murray entitled ‘The Strange Death of Europe’ published last year.
I agree, he is factual, and very good at the Twitter game. My point is that he sounds pretty small when is says something to the effect that “Democrats are traitors for not applauding my speech.” There is a lot of truth in that statement, but it just sounds pretty lame when you think about. And I like him and fully support him. But I don’t think the optics of that are very good, whether he is right or not.
Nor, apparently, do they understand the meaning of words.

In my view the rarity of its use is part of the reason so damn many Deep Staters have had no qualms about their treasonous activities.

The word 'traitor' is a common word with common meaning and usage in English. It is not and never has been solely a legal term of art. In fact the common usage is the first definition of the word traitor.
