Rep. Adam Schiff (D., Calif.) said Sunday that a consequence of the controversial Devin Nunes memo alleging Justice Department surveillance abuses would be people would be more hesitant to report their neighbors to the FBI for being potential fertilizer bombers.
ABC host George Stephanopoulos asked Schiff on Sunday about the Democratic concern that the GOP intelligence memo is meant to undermine Robert Mueller's Russia investigation and whether that strategy was working.
"I don't think it's working, in the sense that people have a lot of confidence in Bob Mueller," Schiff said. "But it is impeaching the FBI, and the problem with this, and this is, I think, at the heart of the department's concern, is if you have a neighbor who's buying fertilizer, lots of fertilizer, but has no yard, and you have concerns about it, and you want to call the FBI, you're now going to wonder, is that FBI going to hold my name in confidence or this information in confidence?"

I suspect almost NO Americans will be willing to talk to the FBI going forward. I suspect juries are going to start refusing to convict based on FBI provided evidence.

OK. I have not yet read the responses here - but all I can say is TOTALLT IDIOTIC THINKING.
Are we to believe, according to “Little Adam Schiff” [I do love DJT’s pet names for his enemies], that people would actually observe a neighbor purchasing copious amounts of fertilizer and because the neighbor is an illegal immigrant, they would not report it? A person would rather defend an illegal immigrant and risk himself being blown up to smithereens than report that neighbor to ICE?
I have always thought liberals had their screws loose, and now Little Adam has proven it.
Schiff and the rest of the left (and far too many “Republican” elite) have no concern for anything but domestic dissent. Peaceful or violent. Same thing to them.

The FBI gave up its presumptions of competence, innocence and honesty a long time ago. I know this because Whitey Bulger and John Connolly told us so ... from prison.
