Really not sure why the father of this child chose to participate in this debate. If he cares for the mom and/or child, and wants to ensure she doesn’t get deported - marry her. He has the ability to solve this problem today. He chooses not to.
I'm still rather confused on this boyfriend. If he's actually in the Army (Guard likely, as he supposedly also works for Kansas's corrections department), he's looking at some big trouble if he's aiding and abetting an illegal alien in his off time. He's in even bigger trouble if he has any kind of clearance, huge potential for security risks there. For his own good his real name better net be Michael, or his command should probably start counseling / looking at him a bit closer... If he's active duty, probably lives on-base. How does she get on base to see him / maybe live with him (probably does if they have a kid)? Even if she wasn't an illegal alien, he can't get her a dependent card until they're married. And military bases don't just let whoever come on base.

Where's the upside for him??
We taxpayers are subsidizing his baby-mommy: WE have married her and adopted the child!!!
