Arthur Jones — an outspoken Holocaust denier, activist anti-Semite and white supremacist — is poised to become the Republican nominee for an Illinois congressional seat representing parts of Chicago and nearby suburbs.
“Well first of all, I’m running for Congress not the chancellor of Germany. All right. To me the Holocaust is what I said it is: It’s an international extortion racket,” Jones told the Chicago Sun-Times.
Indeed, Jones’ website for his latest congressional run includes a section titled “The ‘Holocaust Racket’” where he calls the genocide carried out by the German Nazi regime and collaborators in other nations “the biggest blackest lie in history.”

As I said before, to the best of my knowledge our sore loser law is quite prohibitive, if Lipinski loses the rat primary he cannot run as a write in, not that I’d be very interested in supporting him.
If you meant write in for the GOP primary, I believe that can be done (not by someone running the rat primary), but the write in candidate must register as a candidate 61 days prior to the election, it already too late, unless someone has already registered as a write in to run in the primary, which I couldn’t tell you nor do know where to look to find out if there are write in candidates.
The best hope for people looking to vote for someone who isn’t disgusting is if someone runs in the general election as a Indie, third party filling deadline is in June.
A pity local Republicans didn’t put up a real candidate because while this district would be a tough win it is a little more Republican-leaning that other districts in the state that we do contest, Trump got just under 40% there, better than he did the 8th, 10th (GOP win 2014), or 11th, Romney and McCain also did better in the 3rd than in those districts.

Is this guy there because he’s a nutcase who chose to run on his own? Is he there because he is a nutcase set up by democrats to create a talking point? Or is he a democrat pretending that he’s a Nazi to create a talking point. The only thing I’m sure of is that the National Socialist party is the natural partner of today’s antisemitic and socialist democrats and the enemy of freedom-loving conservatives.
Yes, facts are stubborn things, yet Neo-Nazis and other Holocaust deniers continue to spread lies that run into the teeth of the facts. Anne Frank’s diary was written with ink commonly used in Amsterdam at the time:

I would think that six or seven million fewer Jews would be a give-away.
It was real, it was bad, the death camps are still standing. A few of my distant relatives (3rd cousin or more) wound up in them.
Was it worse than, say, the Armenian genocide? Or being a Yazidi in a town taken over by ISIS? Hard to say from our comfortable distance. What was unique about it was that the Holocaust was perpetrated by an up until then civilized country, and that it applied all of the modern techniques of organization and efficiency to mass murder.
Sure, the Germans killed every gypsy they could find, and starved or murdered their prisoners on the early Russian front (and the Russians returned the favor). But, the camps were unique.
Now, the question of whether it is “over done” in discussion is a tough one. Anything can be overdone—anyone not white seems to think they deserve reparations, these days. But for people only a generation or two removed from WW II, it’s still pretty real.
No, my comment was about this guy’s “issues.” He denies that the holocaust ever occurred, which is a historically loopy position. So, tongue in cheek, I wondered if he was a climate change denier as well.
