A growing number of Americans have decided they have better things to do with their time on Super Bowl Sunday than support a professional football league that doesn't have the decency to honor the national anthem.
American Legion and VFW posts, restaurants and bars, and even a bowling alley have decided they will not broadcast the Super Bowl game in their establishments -- out of respect for veterans and law enforcement.
A giant electronic sign outside the Oneota Veterans Club in New York reads, In honor of our country, our flag, our veterans."
The Knights of Columbus chapter in Longview, Texas decided to end a decades-old tradition of broadcasting the game -- over their "disgust" with the national anthem protests.
"The veterans are especially aggravated by the course of events. This especially hits us as an insult when people are disrespectful of our flag and national anthem," chapter member Vance Lowery told television station KLTV.
VFW posts across the country have also joined the national Super Bowl Sunday boycott.

lol
So am I.
One less set of eyeballs on the NFL.
Feels so good.
Nevermind.
I watched Super Bowls 1-51.
I will not watch Super Bowl 52.
I have a tough decision i coached Eagles Vinny Curry when he was in High School.Would like to see him play but I am a Army vet and a retired police officer.
BLM/ANTIFA are boycotting them too!
WooHoo!
Philly is in the SB because they have an excellent team. God has absolutely nothing to do with it.
Yes, Freepers will be “boycotting” the game. Except they will follow every post on an online thread...and then posting that they are not watching it. Its as predictable as snow in winter.
I changed my mind on that one. Snow, sleet, freezing rain, and now ice on the roads. No outdoor shooting for me today.
Is it on the teevee?
I know exactly how you feel. My son was on the same team with Russell Wilson all through high school. Russell was a good guy; a little cocky but always under control. I became very good friends with Russell’s father. I can’t help but think that he was negatively influenced by the environment in Seattle.
I stopped watching Seattle and the rest of pro football. Sad that a few ruined the game.
To clean the bowl, you have to flush.
We don't watch NFL any more for several reasons, but our top 2 are: first - Stan Kroenke and the NFL screwed St. Louis. I hope he chokes on a french fry during their first game in his special stadium. second - Too many guys getting passes for doing wrong - "Athletic Privilege". Ray Lewis comes to mind. third - the Patriots getting away with cheating. Filming the Rams practice, bugging headsets, and claiming injuries that are non-existent (Brady's thumb last game and Gronk today)
I’m not boycotting patriotic Americans. I’m boycotting a not for profit organization that undoubtedly makes a profit by snubbing it’s nose its support of overpaid players displaying disdain for the flag of my country and those wjocdied to protect my country.
Not watching! And, I run a SB Board!
BOYCOTT THE SUPER BOWL!!!
Like you, Ive not watched in two years, (save two games) because of Kaperdick and the BS last year and the continuation this year. I watched the Bucs first game last year and attended the Bucs/Bears game in Tampa, only because friends and relatives came down from Chicago for the game. Big party!
BOYCOTT THE SUPER BOWL!!!
Went to the range today. Saturdays have been too full to get a lane. Have been cleaning 4 pistols and a rifle this evening. Zero interest in the other “event”.
They have an excellent team who just gave thanks to God for the win.
