The Talk Shows
February 4th, 2018
Guests to be interviewed today on major television talk shows:
FOX NEWS SUNDAY (Fox Network): Reps. Chris Stewart, R-Utah, and Eric Swalwell, D-Calif.; Leon Panetta, a former CIA director and defense secretary.
MEET THE PRESS (NBC): Reince Priebus, President Donald Trump's former chief of staff; former CIA Director John Brennan.
FACE THE NATION (CBS): Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-S.C.; Dr. Anthony Fauci, the National Institutes of Health's infectious disease chief.
THIS WEEK (ABC): Reps. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., and Will Hurd, R-Texas.
STATE OF THE UNION (CNN): Sen. Dick Durbin, D-Ill.; Reps. Jim Himes, D-Conn., Brad Wenstrup, R-Ohio, and Karen Bass, D-Calif.
Yeah for sure a yes man all the way.
Is this the same Mediots who leaked everything that was said in the WH no matter how damaging to our security who are concerned about the memo?
Is Ebonics permissible on FR?
WALLACE: Gentlemen ... the big question is, where does this leave the Robert Mueller special counsel investigation? ...WALLACE: Congressman Swalwell, is this memo an excuse to shut down the Mueller investigation?...
WALLACE: ... are House Republicans were concerned about protecting us from the Russians, or protecting us from the FBI? ...
SWALWELL: Sure, but the issue is that there's not a willingness to look at the evidence [of colluding with the Russians]. They assert that there's no collusion, but there's no interest or willingness to understand the evidence ...
WALLACE: But, Congressman Stewart ... some of the events have nothing to do with the Carter Page warrant, which again is why I wonder why you decided to focus just on that. George Papadopoulos being told by Russians months before that they had dirt on Hillary Clinton, the Trump Tower meeting between top campaign aides and a Russian lawyer, General Michael Flynn lying about his meeting with the Russian ambassador [that meeting was after Trump was elected].
You suggested at the beginning of this interview that you saw no evidence of collusion and no evidence of obstruction of justice ... but you are focusing on what happened in the FISA court with regard to Carter Page.
STEWART: ... those things that you talked about in the work of the special counsel, which let me restate, I support and want him to continue, but none of that, virtually none of that indicates any collusion on behalf of the Trump campaign and Russian officials.
WALLACE: Secretary Panetta joins us now from California. ... And finally, and I've got about a minute left here, let's say he ignores Panetta's advice, and decides to move against either Rod Rosenstein or Robert Mueller?
WALLACE: Jonathan [Swan, national political reporter for Axios] ... haven't the president and Republicans already succeed to the degree that they have raised doubts about the FBI playing politics and, to that extent, have they undermined the credibility of the special counsel investigation?
WALLACE: So, if you get someone like [Republican HPSCI member] Congressman Stewart, who set at the beginning of the program ... hey, look, this memo is a separate issue. I just want the [Mueller] investigation to continue. And Trey Gowdy has said the same thing. Are they being a bit disingenuous?
WALLACE: [Fox News correspondent] Gillian [Turner], how unusual is it for congressional intelligence committees, in your experience, to get involved in this kind of partisan food fight and how troubling is it ... if the House Intelligence and Senate Intelligence Committees just become more political vehicles?
WALLACE: ... What -- what does that do when you've got a president who is at such odds with his own law enforcement?
WALLACE: Howie ... I think it's fair to say the president, in his comments, has left the door wide open to doing something to stop the investigation. He was asked about Rod Rosenstein,... do you still have confidence, and he said, you figure that out, which I don't think left much doubt about what he feels.
If the president were to decide to do something, either to get rid of Rosenstein, to get rid of Mueller, to limit the investigation, would that just be another political controversy, or are we now in Saturday night massacre constitutional crisis mode?
I can hardly wait to read Jake Tapper's attack on the presidency!
Jeffery Lord’s daddy wasn’t Mike Wallace. Ain’t nepotism wonderful in DC?
He does appear to be angling for that, with his fake "down the middle" approach. The left would not accept his conclusions though. I think he is not the best choice, or even a good one for that matter.
Michael Savage said “Liberalism is a mental disorder.”
He makes a living from having a mental disorder he loves to brag about, every day on The Five. Waters usually corrects his wild accusations and uses effective body language by rolling his eyes.
http://mash.wikia.com/wiki/Larry_Linville Lawrence Lavon “Larry” Linville[1] (September 29, 1939 April 10, 2000) was an American actor. He was known for his portrayal of obnoxious, overly pious, self-centered and inept surgeon Major Frank Burns in the hit CBS-TV series M*A*S*H
...
Schiff looks like him.
Yeah you got it Schiff for brains. This guy is just another slick dem lawyer who can turn and twist everything there is.He twisted the fact that a circular argument was used by the purveyors of the fisa request and helped along wit the drivebymedia to get the BS line rolling. shiff claimed the circular argument was false he claimed to stuffy stephy it was not circular. Seconds later stuffy was using schiffs comments as if it were truth.
He got caught right away by our guy but its how these clowns work.
FBI is a Criminal organization at this point. They need to be taken down from the top down.
Thank God we have Trump at the helm.
Agree. Comey with his TV grandstanding has exposed the FBI leadership for what it is , a political operative, besmirching those who do truly serve in it as patriots.
Savage can be brilliant whenever he wants to be. He’s a free thinker and creates prose that is imcomparable. Then he starts talking about his dog,as bad as Rush going on about Apple or golf.
I must confess I am mystified about my rep Trey Gowdys leaving. I have attended events when he has been here in upstate SC. Each time I saw him, he looked more and more tense. He also seems to have aged considerably.
He gave this interview saying he has been a lousy politician.
I think somewhere, somehow, they have NSA files on him
I dont eat Tilapia.
that makes at least 2 of us. Too many other good alternatives
Cod makes the best fish and chips, but salmon is hard to beat broiled.
Exact match Rich. Only Schiff can out do any of them with one gaze. No telling what he is on..His eyes always remind one of the worst horror movie you have ever seen.
Maria doesn’t have long enough legs to be a Fox host.
I concur with your analysis. Page was just a hook to hang their illegal surveillance of Trump. As others have suggested, the surveillance had probably been going on for some time. This was just to cover their tracks.
Seth Rich was rumored to be going to talk to FBI agents when he was killed.
Teddy is a big part of his life. Many times Savage says he cannot talk about current events all the time. Since Trump called and invited to dinner, he has been very pro-Trump. Savage sometimes does not agree with Trump. He isn’t afraid to oppose Trump. He gives away books about his dog. Mark Levin wrote a book about a dog too. Savage and Levin can sometimes get very worked up and emotional on the air. Their moods will change like the weather. Rush might have stock in Apple because he is always giving away apple phones. Savage and Levin were selling books about dogs.
