In a new podcast, Yahoo News Chief Investigative Correspondent Michael Isikoff gives details of a key passage in the controversial Republican memo alleging surveillance abuses by the FBI and the Department of Justice a passage in which Isikoff himself, to his surprise, played a leading role.
The memo, which was released Friday after it was declassified by the White House, says a September 2016 article by Isikoff was cited extensively in an FBI application for a surveillance warrant against former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page.
Isikoff was the first to report that Page was under federal investigation over a trip he had taken to Moscow two months earlier.
On a new episode of Yahoo News weekly podcast Skullduggery, Isikoff discussed with Yahoo News Editor in Chief Dan Klaidman his meeting with Christopher Steele, the former British spy who prepared the dossier about Donald Trump that was also a major part of the FBIs application to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court for permission to wiretap Page.

Yes, in that clip, throughout Isikoff’s bla-bla-bla, he says (with Trump being the president-elect), “you’ll have Trump coming in and staffing his own justice department...”
Where in the heck has that gotten Trump? What a damn mess from the very get-go!
thank you Kavman.
what a beautiful video !! a real keeper.
How much more of his career is this guy going to waste getting played by Leftists?
I caught that too. How bloody ironic.
...in the controversial Republican memo
Excellent point! I read thru a number of comments on the article and while there were quite a few pro Trump comments no-one pointed out the inflammatory language the author used. Good catch, keep pointing them out for everyone to see.
I recollect sometime during the middle of the campaign but perhaps it was later a big ruckus regarding Carter Page making a lot of noise about being in the Trump campaign and I seem to recall The campaign denying Carter page was a member of the campaign team. This all seems to happen over a two-week period and then it disappeared.
Now they say the FISA warrants are about Carter page in 2014. I am and have been awfully suspicious of Carter page when I first heard him bragging about being in the Trump campaign. Now I think Perhaps this was a set up precisely to start a FISA warrant on the Trump people and Trump himself. In other words this was all a pretext to start monitoring Donald Trump and his senior campaign staff.
Is it possible that Carter page is a FBI dupe previously caught by the FBI, turned, and then set up to join the Trump campaign as a CI for the deep state?
Spikey’s not getting played. He’s getting paid.
Page was such a peripheral player that Iowa radio talk show host Sam Clovis was Page’s sponsor into the Trump team.
Apparently it's not fact in any respect or venue. What we've learned over the past 1 1/2 years:
Do not trust any political polls. If you trust such polls, you must believe Hillary Clinton is the rightful POTUS.Do not trust Democrats or anyone on the political Left. They are (for now closet) totalitarians.
Do not trust about 90% of the so-called mainstream news media. They not only sympathize with the Democrats, but they actively work hand-in-glove with the Dems in every respect and with every "news" story.
Do not trust the massive federal administrative state. Most of them are not only Dem voters, but they also actively work hand-in-glove with Dem leadership. They use immense federal power to destroy anyone who does not march in lockstep with their worldview.
Isikoff is expressing “surprise” but it is likely he was a willing cat’s paw...
“Tequila Mockingbird”
That’d be a good name for a bar, or a band.
It’s the media. Thursday was the memo is a “constitutional crisis” Friday it’s a “nothingburger”. Just like Thursday the stock market was cause of Obama Friday was cause of trump. Eff them all.
A good question for someone to ask Isakoff would be...Is that writing with repeated stupidity or blatant corruption?
Page was being investigated in 2013 concerning his dealings with Russians.
Are they making a massive leap that since Page was later on Trump’s team that that is the Trump/Russia connection?

Emails reveal that Michael Isikoff, whose Yahoo News article based on the "Steele dossier" was used to obtain the FISA interception warrant against the Trump campaign's Carter Page, was secretly "working with" the DNC. https://wikileaks.org/dnc-emails/emailid/3962

A lot more coming down the pipe. I spoke to a delegation of 68 investigative journalists from Ukraine last Wednesday at the Library of Congress - the Open World Society's forum - they put me on the program to speak specifically about Paul Manafort and I invited Michael Isikoff whom I've been working with for the past few weeks and connected him to the Ukrainians. More offline tomorrow since there is a big Trump component you and Lauren need to be aware of that will hit in next few weeks and something I'm working on you should be aware of.
Since I started digging into Manafort these messages have been a daily occurrence on my yahoo account despite changing my password often:
