Trump campaigned on Draining the swamp. So, one of his utmost priorities was finding the right head of the Justice Department. If Sessions is a moron, then that means Trump was a total moron in picking Jeff Sessions.
I might be wrong, but mathematically I’m more than likely right. Sessions is a quiet worker, under the guise of being soft and slow moving.

You would see it if Sessions was doing his job. He is a weak, middle of the road, beltway, same old same old, bore. Trump needs an aggressive, sharp, no nonsense, fearless AG to help him and to help us.

Everyone should keep one key target in mind: 2018 congressional elections. Everything else is noise. So, how does Team Trump manage, contribute and direct a massive electoral sweep and confirmation of the MAGA mandate?
It requires both summer Congressional investigative hearings, as well as DOJ criminal proceedings via multiple impaneled grand juries. The roll-out has a very specific timeline, with well ordered milestones and deliverables. This will be Trump's penultimate achievement.
Agree 100%. I even think Trump’s aggressive — even for Trump — attacks on Sessions last year were part of a long-term plan, which is to make it hard for anyone down the road to accuse Sessions of being motivated by pro-Trump bias.
I sure hope you're right, but Sessions is beginning to show signs of the dreaded GOP disease - the next hill is always the one they will fight on.

You are grasping at straws. Sessions *is* that pathetic. Trump currently can’t replace him because the 2IC at Justice is one of the swamp creatures from the Obama Administration and the Senate of NeverTrumps has said they will refuse to confirm a successor if Sessions is fired.
I have in mind of one of those lizards that appears frozen until the prey is in just the right spot and then comes the lightning thwackk of that tongue that nails 'em.
Not being in a position to affect this fustercluck one way or another, I'll keep my trust in President Trump and his team to handle it in the way they deem best for the Nation's well-being.
