WASHINGTON (AP) — U.S. employers added a robust 200,000 jobs in January, and wages rose at the fastest pace in more than eight years, evidence of a healthy job market.
The pay gains suggest that employers are increasingly competing for a limited pool of workers. Raises stemming from Republican tax cuts and minimum wage increases in 18 states also likely boosted pay last month.
The unemployment rate remained 4.1 percent for a fourth straight month, the lowest level since 2000, the Labor Department said in its monthly jobs report Friday.

Pay must have gone up because all those “progressive” cities increased the minimum wage to $15 per hour.

My sister just changed jobs. She’s an Office Manager type; your basic Liberal over-educated Paper Pusher.
She asked for $19/hour and they gave her $20. Full benefits, too and an easy commute.
It only took her three weeks to find a job. She’ll be in the Private Sector for the FIRST time in her entire career. I cannot WAIT to see how this works out; it’s going to be interesting. (I’ve worked for the State and the Feds and have an Army career behind me - I’ve worked for non-profits but for privately owned/family businesses for the most part. Retired & farming, now.)
I’m going to hold her down like we did as kids and make her eat a BUG if she doesn’t give President Trump credit, LOL!

By DemRats own logic Bush gets the credit for the 2010 economy. After all they keep saying Odunga gets credit for Trumps 2018 economy.

A decade ago 240k was about the ‘churn’ amount of job seekers changing jobs plus new job seekers from population expansion.
At least “Government” isn’t at the top of the List.
I started my factory job in 2010 and my wages were practically flat for about six years. I moved up in my department and got a modest raise.
I was re-classified and my pay went up 25 percent. And I got back pay to when I changed jobs.
This all happened in the “Crumbs” time frame. I wonder what changed ...
I’m pretty sure Trump simply inherited Obama economic polices that just took an extra year to bear fruit ... he said in a straight voice as if he was really serious ...
