Gingrich Says Wray Threatens <to do> ‘Bureaucratic Deep State Resistance’

Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich (R-Ga.) accused FBI Director Christopher Wray Thursday of being in “open rebellion” against President Donald Trump — by opposing release of the controversial memo detailing surveillance abuses and anti-Trump bias within the Justice Department. Gingrich made his remarks on Fox News’ “America’s Newsroom.”

“If you want an example of the deep state, you apparently had the head of the FBI go to the White House with the deputy attorney general, make his case to the White House — they are his superiors in the executive branch — and get turned down,” Gingrich said. “He then goes back and apparently puts out a release — I mean, in effect it’s an open rebellion.”

To avoid looking precipitous and defensive, and to keep the spotlight on the substantive contents and implications of “the memo” for a longer period of time.

It's going to be painted as defensive and obstructive regardless of when he does it. Waiting isn't going to make it any better. Act now and send a message.

The choices for any president seems not to extend far beyond the Council on Foreign Relations/Goldman-Sachs monopoly. It was certainly seen as a problem for candidate Trump.

God has to intervene on the people’s side in this American mess.

Wray just got appointed. Firing a short timer shouldn’t be a big deal.

Fire Wray and others? Definitely, but not just yet. Let the MEMO come out, and let the American People see what Wray has been allowing to fester in his bailiwick, and even went to the WH to protect and perpetuate! THEN the true patriots and even some waverers will realize....Wray, et al, MUST be fired, and prosecuted.

My thoughts exactly. Here’s the good news... When it comes to corruption in law enforcement/intelligence at the federal level, people of every political stripe get their hackles up. What I’m hoping — and what I actually see happening — is that after the memo and the IG report in March, public sentiment against the FBI and DOJ will grow to the point where there will be a groundswell of popular demand for heads to roll. And that could produce a wave of resignations, hopefully followed by investigations, indictments, trials and convictions (but all that is long-term). In any case, I agree — firing Wray at this point is not only bad strategy, but it may not even be necessary.

I’m thinking the response to their pleas was something on the order of, “Well, you won’t be here that long anyway, so...”

Not only should many be fired and sent to prison, they should have their pensions canceled. give them what they earned and fire them and then make sure they get fined a pretty penny making them broke as hell. Send them back to the trailer parks.

Any Republican who is secretly loyal to Bush or Romney has to be neutralized (politically).

If Trump is removed, it will be Republicans who make it happen.

They like being useful tools.
So, Trump is using them.
Let the world see who they really are.
Then fire them.

Why wait?

Understand this is a fight for The Republic, not a janitorial task to exercise a few bad characters. Justice will be considered complete on a firing - it wouldn't be. Trump will be cast a dictator for cleaning out his opposition.

On the other hand, if he waits until the chips are really falling, the public (and eventually media - think ratings) will demand prosecution and more. Firing will be a given, not part of the discussion. Winning, truly winning, is when it becomes Trump's job to baffle the cries for guillotines and gallows.

God save our Republic.

Oh, you want the spotlight? Then *FIRE* him, and a plethora of others for ‘being in the know’ (or, if they weren’t, ineffective at their job).

Begin prosecuting, round up the next cache of documents/song-birds/etc., rinse and repeat until the Deep State is no more.

MSM\(D), I repeat myself, attempt to call it politics, he’s got the dirty-laundry-list to reference as to ‘why’. Leftists wouldn’t have a leg to stand on if/when shown of the treason involved that was left to grown/fester.

Newt is right. Wray has to go and Rosenstein. Give Wrays job to Dan Bongino.
