WASHINGTON (AP) A Democratic lawmaker is seeking documents from the National Rifle Association and the Treasury Department following reports of an FBI investigation into whether a Russian central banker funneled money to the group during the 2016 presidential campaign. In letters sent to Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin and the NRA on Friday, Sen. Ron Wyden of Oregon requested any documents showing financial links between Russia and the gun lobbying organization.
{snip}...I am specifically troubled by the possibility that Russian-backed shell companies or intermediaries may have circumvented laws designed to prohibit foreign meddling in our elections, Wyden wrote.

It is suspected that the Kingdom of Ruritania bought as many as twenty lottery tickets and sent them to the NRA to be passed to Trump. Impeach now!
How is it possible they are still pushing this meme when they have nothing except Hillary’s Uranium Russia deal out in the open?
Can anyone imagine the furor if Trump had recently sold Uranium to the Russians?
This would be laughable if it wasn’t so sickening.
NRA can urge him to accept the mental health care.
Let’s talk about communists/Marxists/anarchists “collusion” with college students in Oregon, say Portland, the Red Capital of the state.
Wyden is nuts, like all the Left Coast Senators and most of their Representatives (except the Republicans). Somewhere in the great Sequoia/Redwood forests of that region, a female Nut-Hatcher is looking for a mate named Ron.
In other words, he’s for the birds, buzzards perhaps.
Wyden has always been a bit strange and creepy. Maybe it’s Oregon’s marijuana laws.
I have an important question.
All the troubles we’re seeing, with Leftists losing their freakin minds, is that because they were on Obamacare?
Ruritania...now that’s a blast from the past. Don’t see many references to “The Prisoner of Zenda” now days. Grand 19th century adventure novel back in the day.
As chargé d’affaires emeritus of the Grand Dutchy of Fenwick and Post Master of San Marino in exile, unindicted, I salute you sir for bringing this Ruritanian villainy to light.
Carry on.
To be serious, as long as there still are conservatives who buy anti-Russia hysteria propaganda, liberal lowlifes have no reason to give the narrative a rest, no need to mention the republicans like McCain, Lindsey, Flake.......
I agree.
Keep throwing crap against the wall (Clinton’s style) and perhaps some of it will stick. The “facts” are not important, it’s the power of suggestion that gives a reason to “investigate” further. My bet is that as the “NRA” hoax fizzles, a new and more outlandish investigation will be triggered. The saga of the never ending Mueller investigation continues........here we go again.
One has to be 100% libtarded to believe the NRA needed to be paid to support Trump.
Well that just only makes sense. Who benefits more from a strong NRA than Putin?
Kookie Ron trying to drag the NRA into the extreme left’s fiasco. Why doesn’t he check to see if the Russkis funneled money into Planned Parenthood to cut down on the number of Americas being born.
Translation: With all the illegal money the Dems have been getting, it is unacceptable that the repubs might have gotten a few bucks"
If he really wanted to help he'd come clean.
HOW ABOUT INVESTIGATING THE $TENS OF MILLIONS THE russians actually gave to the clintons via their fraud foundaiton and for speeches.... how about that..???????
Wake me when Killary goes to jail.
I am specifically troubled by the possibility that Russian-backed shell companies or intermediaries may have circumvented laws designed to prohibit foreign meddling in our elections, Wyden wrote.
I wonder how troubled he was to learn that Russian individuals and Russian front companies “donated” approximately $145 million to the Canadian branch of the Clinton Global initiative around the time of the Uranium One deal. Most likely, not troubled at all.
