Letter and Tweet at link.
Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee are calling for an immediate meeting with officials from the FBI and Department of Justice over the claims made in the memo drafted by Rep. Devin Nunes (R-Calif.).
The letter, spearheaded by ranking member Rep. Jerrod Nadler (D-N.Y.), is directed to committee chairman Rep. Bob Goodlatte (R-Va.). In it, Nadler asks Goodlatte to arrange a meeting with FBI Director Christopher Wray and other representatives from the Justice Department to examine the "talking points" that he says Republicans are using to "discredit the work of the FBI and Special Counsel Robert Mueller."
"It is imperative that we hear directly from these officials about the security and law enforcement implications of making this information public," Nadler wrote.
"It is also important that we hear about any inaccuracies or key omissions from the Nunes document," he added.
President Trump plans to release a memo drafted by Nunes purporting to detail surveillance abuses by the federal government to be made public despite warnings from the FBI that the document contains inaccurate statements and omissions of fact.
The president is OK with it, a White House official told reporters traveling with Trump aboard Air Force One. I doubt there will be any redactions. Its in Congresss hands after that.
As expressed during our initial review, we have grave concerns about material omissions of fact that fundamentally impact the memos accuracy," the bureau said in a statement.
Nunes has dismissed the FBI's criticism and accused the bureau of running a counterintelligence operation based off of unverified information during the 2016 election.
"Its clear that top officials used unverified information in a court document to fuel a counterintelligence investigation during an American political campaign. Once the truth gets out, we can begin taking steps to ensure our intelligence agencies and courts are never misused like this again, Nunes said.
I’d better split before the cops got there.
Because that’s pretty much old news around here. We knew that months ago.
So what if they were looking at Page in 2013? He was an unpaid, low level volunteer to the Trump campaign 3 years after that. and never once met with Trump.
besides, “collusion” is still not a crime
And if you really want to know more about me, you could have just asked.
I’m a life long Republican born in New York City who now works in Canada as a mechanical Engineer for Chrysler.
So in other words, your employer stopped payment on the check when they became aware of your poor performance and the fact that you are a "bumbling idiot".
Go back to DU. And don't even attempt that BS you tried last time another poster told you that, pretending you know nothing about DU.
Everything I would ever need to know about you can be gleaned from your posting history. It certainly speaks for itself.
Personal attacks are the last resort of a fool.
Save yourself.
I sure hope Nunes doesn’t commit suicide with a bullet to the back of his head.
And the big fan is running.
(see my tagline)
says the guy who called Nunes a bumbling idiot ....
Politicians are fair game when one is talking about politics.
Insulting another poster isnt.
Rep. Jerrod Nadler (D-N.Y.)
Call Ismael and tell him a whale has been sighted.
So what crime has Carter Page committed....?
It’s not illegal to meet with Russians
I do not think there was collusion either. ive stated that repeatedly.
In fact, I agree with the notion of “so what” if Trump was talking the Russians.
I think its a good thing.
Why wouldnt a sane person want two countries often at each others throats to have a better relationship.
You stupid cnut.
Invest in rope...electricity...guns...guillotines...gas...garrots...
I don’t think they’re intentionally overplaying their panic card. I think the rats are just so used to posturing and making noise that it’s all they know how to do right now.

You have not espoused even one conservative principle since your recent arrival.
Unlike liberals, conservatives do not require nor demand uniformity on every issue but when you take the opposite position on every issue you might be confused as to where you stand on the political spectrum.
