President Trump will “100 percent” release the controversial FISA memo, according to comments heard directly after the State of the Union.

The President was leaving the House Chamber when reporters heard Rep. Jeff Duncan call out to Trump to ask him to release the House Intelligence Committee’s FISA memo.

Trump stopped and turned to Duncan and said “Oh yeah, don’t worry, 100 percent.”

Well, look at the Watergate trials. It took 5 years or so before they went to prison. I'm not certain why you think this will be fast.

Again, don't think this is lightening in a bottle. One congressman said today (I forget which one) said that the memo shows that one person should probably go to jail. Just one person. This memo is only the beginning. The House committee will spend months just trying to prove the memo is accurate and as the democrats are saying now is that the dossier has not been proven false.

This is only the very beginning. It will take years.

The FISA memo should be given out before the Super Bowl. People will talk about it at those Super Bowl gatherings and this news will spread like wild fire. The Democrat’s goose will be cooked real good.

I remember the watergate fiasco and no one was going to do anything to hillary then... it’s a little different today.. when her support is not there, they just might get something done, however I say again, sessions does not have it in him. This isn’t just about hillary, it’s about the obama administration and obama.. They stalled it in watergate and they can do that again for obama.. but hillary does not have the support she once had. we’ll see, but it won’t take years... not this time... once the charges are grounded, it’s so much more serious than any watergate.. and it will divide the country like nothing has before in my lifetime.

We used to consider an attack from another country, war. This is coming from within. “From within” has been written about but not become a reality.. today it has become a real happening. This can’t be compared to watergate or to anything before.. except the Civil War.

They used to consider treason serious and today they don’t know the word. This isn’t treason, but an attempted coup has not been in our courts before. In other countries they immediately take prisoners. It may depend on what they consider and who they consider. We may not have a justice system capable of handling something like an attempted take over of this country. Too many weak and living in denial.. too many comfortable in whatever they can just let happen and ignore the elephant. IF Trump had not been elected, we would not be in this... would not know about it and they would have continued.. to what end I do not know. They thought they were home free.

If they let the guilty skate, there will be many who won’t like it one bit and no one knows what happens then. If you let the guilty off, they will try another day. They will be fighting for their world domination and we will be fighting for our country.. it depends on what God does in all this.

-- Tonight, Trump branded MAGA with the SOTU home run. --

Seong-ho's story is a testament to the yearning of every human soul to live in freedom.

It was that same yearning for freedom that nearly 250 years ago gave birth to a special place called America. It was a small cluster of colonies caught between a great ocean and a vast wilderness. But it was home to an incredible people with a revolutionary idea: that they could rule themselves. That they could chart their own destiny. And that, together, they could light up the world.

That is what our country has always been about. That is what Americans have always stood for, always strived for, and always done.

And that is who we are. How dare the government subvert that. Thank God it did and does so in such a blatant and ham-fisted way. Looking forward to the reveal that the FBI and press colluded to "fix the election," cover a criminal, and undermine the work of the president.

The House Committe vote was sometime Monday aternoon. Five days post, on the clock, is Saturday afternoon.

I think it is best if Congress drives the entire reveal process, with the executive involvement being "absence of objection." Agencies who have information to protect have a chance to review it (that's done, no objection), and the House follows the rules-based timeline. At least five days. I'm fine with afer the weekend. Builds more tension and interest, and gives the press time to implicate itself even further.

-- The WH has 5 days to inspect and release the memo. --

Release is an action by the House committee. It is their work product. Without having looked at the specific rule, my impression of the process says the committee must allow the executive at least 5 days to object.

I just looked it up. RULES of the HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

See Rule X, Organization of Committees, Part 11 on the Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, part "(g)."

(1) The select committee may disclose publicly any information in its possession after a determination by the select committee that the public interest would be served by such disclosure. With respect to the disclosure of information for which this paragraph requires action by the select committee -

(A) the select committee shall meet to vote on the matter within five days after a member of the select committee requests a vote; and

(B) a member of the select committee may not make such a disclosure before a vote by the select committee on the matter, or after a vote by the select committee on the matter except in accordance with this paragraph.

(2)(A) In a case in which the select committee votes to disclose publicly any information that has been classified under established security procedures, that has been submitted to it by the executive branch, and that the executive branch requests be kept secret, the select committee shall notify the President of such vote.

(B) The select committee may disclose publicly such information after the expiration of a five-day period following the day on which notice of the vote to disclose is transmitted to the President unless, before the expiration of the five-day period, the President, personally in writing, notifies the select committee that the President objects to the disclosure of such information, provides reasons therefor, and certifies that the threat to the national interest of the United States posed by the disclosure is of such gravity that it outweighs any public interest in the disclosure.

(C) If the President, personally in writing, notifies the select committee of objections to the disclosure of information as provided in subdivision (B), the select committee may, by majority vote, refer the question of the disclosure of such information, with a recommendation thereon, to the House. The select committee may not publicly disclose such information without leave of the House.

The memo isn't coming out today or tomorrow. The president is not going to personally and in writing inform of absence of objection, there is no provision for that in the rules. Plus, such a written statement would be used against him, he would be claimed to be in cahoots with that partisan Nunes.

Feel free to copy/paste share this far ans wide. I haven't the patience to practice repetition, being content to LOL at observing how ill-informed people are, when the information is so easily available. Google "Congress House Rules" and poof, up come the House Rules. Little bit of reading, voila.
