Please justify why MY federal tax dollars should be used in YOUR state for YOUR crumbling infrastructure.
This is yet another case of wealth transfer from fiscally prudent states to profligate and wastrel states that piss away TONS of tax payer money on liberal feel good projects.
We just got tax reform done that ends cross subsidies to high tax states tjat are used to help people there with high mortgages (SALT deductions). This is exactly the same thing.
You should not care if I have bridge or road problems in my town. It is as inappropriate for us to get federal grants as it is for you.
Let the STATES decide and pay for it.
I'm writing EVERYTHING down ( except I can't do the stuff in Hungarian, German, and Czech...which I'll have to teach my grandson verbally ) for the next generations.
But some of my distant cousins know the early stories and their own, however I'm the one who knows it all. :-)

My understanding is sending money to DC to then be sent back to the states wastes about 25% I think I saw that on education fund about ten years ago.

I saw Princess Liawatha sitting on the bench with her other dems, talking to one of them during the speech. She looked less happy than usual. You know, the look she always has like she smelled something bad, had become the "I hate living next to the wastewater plant/paper mill" look.
love quebec city, nice French vibe. I went to Montreal from there on my own. Sat around large bar where everyone ate dinner, Italian food. We were all laughing and telling stories. When I asked for my check someone had already paid it.
